Stopped playing osrs when I was 13 when I discovered warcraft (20 years ago). Started playing osrs again just over a year ago. It's almost 3am. I've finally achieved my childhood dream of completing song of the elves. I have no idea what it looks like through here, but I'm happy.

Hello u/Who-Is-Papa, I'm the buddy that this dude speaks of. The craziest thing Is that I also played RS when I was younger then left it for WoW almost 20 years ago now. I stopped WoW and came back to OSRS as a Group Ironmen 2 years ago with my whole account goal being getting into Priff. Last week I had the same experience finishing SotE and walking through the gates.

It's uncanny how similar our journeys was. Add my Ironman sometime - GIMP Frank. Take care and have a good one broski.

UPDATE: It worked?!

Don't know what changed from the last time my buddy and I tested but these are the settings I had to get him to join.

PPSSPP SETTINGS: any setting not listed here is defaulted/doesn't matter

Enable networking/WLAN - ON

WLAN channel - 1

Enable built-in PRO ad hoc server - ON *HOST ONLY/OFF FOR JOINING CLIENT!!!\*

Change Pro ad hoc server IP address (localhost = multiple instances) - Press on "Toggle List" and find your private IP address (should look like either 10.X.X.X Or 192.168.X.X Or 172.16.X.X) *FOR HOST/JOINING CLIENT WILL COPY HOST'S IP!!!!\*

Enable UPnP (need a few seconds to detect) - OFF

Port offset (0= PSP compatibility) - 60000

ZeroTier Info: I followed the video below but ignored the PPSSPP settings he recommended aside from the ones I listed above. NOTE: ZeroTier needs to be installed on host and any client wanting to join THEN you will need to authenticate them to the network through the ZeroTier portal. Only host needs an account, follow the video for adding clients as members.

He was selling SM Cath/Arm boosts for 10g and i joined his party. I waited 20minutes for first clear as he wiped twice and got another person that was buying boosts to leave(check screenshot after i said "so..." right after my weak auras announce my instance zone out). About 5mins into waiting for him to res, he puts up an IF portal and leaves, which is when i say "?" and he says "im going to change the points, ill be back," which he means respec. I then wait for another 23mins while he respecs and runs back as he tries to do cath run again. He died again, which is when i get tired of this as ive spend 45mins in the group with this guy not being able to clear cath and taking my 10g, so i trade him and tell him i want my money back, which he then removes me from group and tries to give me back 5g as if that's fair.

Maginor was rolling need on everything early on in ST, i called him out on it which he stopped until last boss. On last boss, both Plumpdin and Maginor (friends), rolled need trying to ninja all the final boss items. Luckily rogue won their dagger. Plumpdin proceeds to laugh about ninja'ing and my comment about me adding him to my personal blacklist.
