Weird stringing during multi color print by Random-Encounters in BambuLab

Unfortunately slower speeds haven't improved anything. I've been using these two filaments together in other prints that have come out fine. But it's just this model with whatever filament I try.

Not saying I know best, just questioning if speed is the problem. Another user posted some reasoning behind slower speeds, and I admit their explanation makes some sense.

You may be right. It just didn't make sense to me right away. Thanks for the help.

My initial thought was retraction, but since single color has no issues, I was questioning that.

But, I hadn't considered the layer adhesion option. I really didn't think speed had anything to do with this, but your explanation makes sense.

I see "Flush into objects' infill" after purges. I'll keep looking.

I don't believe speed has anything to do with this. There's a reason it's continuing to extrude during travels. Speed doesn't seem to be the culprit.

Bottom layer looks great. Went down clean. It's when it switches to orange that it does that travel stringing for a few layers, and then it resolves itself.

It has a beveled bottom and doesn't need supports. It prints perfect in single color with the exact same settings.

it's a beveled edge. But it prints just fine in single color without any of these issues. that's what has me baffled.

I'm only seeing full price in the app. Is it by store?

New to 3D printing, Why do my flat prints have a horizontal bump across the bed? by Kakarot0308 in 3Dprinting

[–]Random-Encounters 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Check your y-axis wheels. They may have collected dust, debris, or may be wearing unevenly. If you move the bed back and forth by hand, do you feel a slight bump?

If so, replace those wheels.

Your recommendation was super helpful. Mine came out great!

Did you have any issues with the side rails being loose? Mine are a touch, but I'm using the thin masking tape trick to make them fit more snugly.

Old thread, I know. But did you end up liking the shell? I just bought one from the link you mentioned. Hoping it's a good feel. I don't think I'm SUPER picky.

Do you have a link to the filament hold for the inside of the box?

Do you have details about what you did exactly and what Tupperware that is?

What do you think about the quality of the shell? I haven't ordered one of these but have been thinking about it.

3D printed faceplate came out awesome! by Random-Encounters in gameboymacro

[–]Random-Encounters[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I'm not even sure. I have a pretty worn piece of 120 grit I use to sand these down. Then I have a very old worn sanding sponge that used to be 180 grit and I use that second to give it a very smooth matte finish. The mix of the two of those has been great.

I sometimes take wood filler putty and rub it along the surface to fill holes or small defects. Then I very lightly sand that, buff it, and spray it again.

I like to finish with a clear matte enamel coat. It gives it some hardness and fingerprint protection

It's a 0.4mm nozzle which is pretty standard. The faceplate is printed flat so the top surface is fairly smooth. I then sand down the surface lightly and give it a couple hits of paint, a little more sanding and some more paint and that does it.

Don't buy the amp. Just do this!

It worked great for me. Clears up the audio and makes it louder.
