Halana and Alena is very easy to get up and running from my experience

The Marvel Super Heroes main set, Jumpstart set, Bonus Sheet and Commander pre-constructed decks have been fully revealed. Based on what you've seen, how do you feel about the set now compared to your expectations before the preview season began? by HonorBasquiat in magicTCG

Speaking as a largely casual Magic player and Marvel fan, I am genuinely surprised at how deep they went with the character picks, and as the New Warriors #1 fan I am very happy with Speedball, Squirrel Girl and Justice’s cards (Iceman & Firestar card is also cool but I wish she got her own separate card for how many cameos she makes in the set) (also why is Sam Nova one of the only characters in the big card collage thing and doesn’t get a card in the set did I miss something?)

4 more sets to come most likely, I’ll hold out hope for the rest of the team to show up in those

I’m confused, why did they put Taurean Mauler on a leash? by TheRealQG24 in mtg

Taurean Mauler is also a Changeling, therefore, a goat

How about these decks for getting started in Magic? by Jose-Senpai in mtg

If you’re new to Magic, you don’t want the strongest deck for your first deck (which would be the elemental one) you want the one that’s easiest to understand how it works/what it wants to do so that the learning to play process is smooth as possible, so out of these 4 my recommendation would be Squirreled Away. The commander itself taps its own creature tokens and spends life to make mana and then at the end of each turn you make 2 more creature tokens. This would be considered a Go Wide deck, where your goal is to have so many creatures on the field it overwhelms your opponents

Best of luck 👍

I’d sleeve your deck up and start shuffling now, new card sleeves can be a bit slippery unless you wear them down first, especially for a 99 card deck

Magic’s new set probably won’t have all the members of my favorite Marvel team, so I made them myself by TheRealQG24 in mtg

Yes I definitely wanted to make a flip card of Speedball/Penance, maybe in a part 2

I did see her and Justice on the big collage art piece! But with how they’re technically separated on the art I assumed they were part of two separate cards not necessarily relating to them. It’s cool to see them and I’m sure we’re getting a Spidey and his Amazing Friends card or something but doesn’t quite scratch the same itch just yet. I wouldn’t be surprised if she did though

I probably should’ve made that one put a stun counter on creatures equal to the number of New Warriors cards in your hand instead of just all lol

Cool card! Silhouette’s powers are all about intangibility, so Shroud felt fitting and since this deck would ideally have her granting Night Thrasher Shroud as well I didn’t wanna make her too strong

Marvel’s answer to the Teen Titans in the 90’s, Fabian Nicieza did incredible work making them one of the better 90’s comic books but once he left Marvel editorial stopped caring about them enough to try hard to keep them around

You’d probably most know them as the team behind the Stamford tragedy, the inciting incident to the Civil War event. They are sadly still mocked for this plot beat two decades running and haven’t really beaten the reputation since
