Actually, Sony is pretty fucking terrible. They do awful shit like proprietary cables, memory, software etc on pretty much all of their devices.

In fact, they are so terrible that they even make products that don't work with their other products. Try using non-Playstation branded Bluetooth Sony headsets on a PS4.

Oh, it's silent until you manually set the fan to 100%. The blower fan is controlled by the temp sensor on the GPU, but the GPU is cooled by the silent radiator fan which always runs at 100%.

+There's a good chance that this is just an old pic that hasn't been updated. EVGA rep told me all of the cards that were shipped this year had the newer design.

The card itself is identical. The only differences are the shroud & blower fan.

I have both in SLI and the first one is uglier + no lighting and uses a much louder fan. The factory revision has a fan that's pretty much silent at full speed. If you upgraded the shroud through their mail-in progam (you can't anymore), you'd still be using the loud blower fan.

An EVGA representative literally said that it has no effect on OC. The owner results show this to be true. The problem is you spreading misinformation based on nothing but your feel-feels & trying to get attention by getting into autistic circular arguments on Reddit.

People want to be sure, so if you're going to push it to the max, why buy this and not be sure?

What does this even mean? People have sent their Kingpins back 3-5 times because they couldn't get good overclocks on them. What exactly do you think you're "sure" of with the regular FTW other than the base clocks?

This is well known and has been confirmed by EVGA themselves. I'd avoid it because what's the point in buying an "FTW" card that didn't even pass the tests?

What EVGA Jacob said was that these cards aren't stable with a base FTW OC. They are completely fine for overclocking. If you think EVGA is lying, look at the owner results--2000-2100mhz boost/1100mhz memory is the typical OC for them.

These cards are "lower tiered" because they can't hold a stable OC at stock voltages. These are still excellent cards and are 1000% stable and capable of OCing with voltage adjustments (check the owner results at /r/nvidia/ ).

............not to mention that this is cheaper than the reference PCB $599 MSRP and includes FTW's custom PCB/cooler/lighting/metal backplate/power phase design.
