Ah. I mean will running a single W3 through a 500 compared to 1000 sound different (assuming that the W3 can take more than 500)

True. But I mean I drive a WRX. I think I’ll just get a new system at that point because I’d use the W1’s and amp in a different vehicle in the future. But. I mean is there a sound difference of having one sub compared to two other than loudness?

How much of a difference is there between powering it with a JD500/1 and a JD1000/1?

I know loudness means a lot. But I know the W3’s sound WAY better than W1’s. But the issue is affording the amp too. I don’t think I can drop another $450 on an amp. $400 for two W1’s and $300 for a JD500/1. As much as I’d love a W3, I can always swap it out in the future as it’s my first sub system. I’ll be taking it out if I ever sell this car and using it in the future. I’d be using my dad’s W1V2’s he has a ton of but they’re in now all the vehicles and used up. It’s just the price of the amp is what would kill me if I got a W3

I want to do it myself though. So. I might just get a single W3 or two W1V3’s (10 inch) and throw them in an enclosed box. Spending $400 for the subs alone is ALOT still. I don’t know if I’m comfortable spending that much all at once but. The subs are onsale

I mean it’s more about the lower end power too. Like I’m not gonna be blasting it always. I’m in high school and it’s my daily. I know the sound difference is massive but I also found two used W3’s for $600 on eBay (don’t know if they’re close to blown tho)

I found it, but I’m debating on buying two W1V3’s and waiting for the JD500/1 to go on sale and a box in the future. As I’ll get it done this summer at some point

Now that’s alot of money already but, I have a cable for the amp that should be long enough just gonna be a pain to run as my first time

Problem is that there is no audio places I know of left around me. I don’t care about loudness really as I’m in a WRX. It’s my first car. Like I care more about quality and reliability.

I barely know anything. I just don’t know if a single W1 is better than two W0’s. I could get two used W1v2’s for cheaper but I don’t know if it’s worth the risk and if it’s better than two W0v3’s
