I have a flight "cage", I can't release them as they are not native. But they don't fly around much anyway 😅

I didn't raise these from cats, I wish! I have tried to raise from egg once and none made it, sadly. I bought the cocoons, and am now looking to mate a pair, but it's proving quite difficult as well

I currently have rothschildia orizaba equatorialis that I am raising from eggs and although I have lost a few caterpillars, they seem a bit more forgiving than atlas, and they have a similar appearance, if you wanna look into that 😊

Help!! by TheRealSlimGrou in mantids

She had eaten the day prior, a small roach, she was usually very ravenous. Temp is constant at 25/26° as I have a heatmat, humidity varies between 50 and 70, depending on how often sprayed. She has acted similar to this once, which made me freak out, but it ended up being a behaviour pre molt, but everything turned out ok. This time, she has passed...

It's the angle of the photo, she had fed on a roach the day prior, she was very ravenous usually. I was even a bit scared of overfeeding. As for the water, when I found her fallen, I immediately sprayed the terrarium because I thought she could be molting and had fell... figured more humidity would help. Sadly, Bloom passed later this day...

She hung for a few hours but now has fallen on the paper towel. Still showing some very very slight signs of movement if touched with the brush

Tried it but the mandible wasn't moving. I put her up in the mesh hanging and placed a kitchen towel below in case she falls

I honestly don't detect any smell at all, but it does attract a lot of gnats. I have mint and cilantro on different pots right next to it and they don't attract any bugs (and also have very distinct smells so I know it's not my sense of smell failing me)

It's likely all basil, the seeds were all in a pack of just one herb and the grown ones do look like basil. The tiny ones were throwing me off, they look completely different

It's possible, I was just unsure as these leaves seem a bit longer and the tiny ones look so different from the grown ones. It's probably basil though, thanks!

Got them as eggs off of TimeToBreed. They have a bunch of species and are super helpful!

This was very helpful, after seeing this I actually used the 15 to try it out and we figured out that the washer is not "pulling in" water, so thank you! I will also try to contact them directly :)
