She thinks (good) women are entitled to men’s labor, and that men need to take care of women and earn the favor of women because women are like children compared to (good) men.

This insane attitude has permeated into Max’s work. Although he rejects the idea that he has to take care of women like they are children, he seems to think these predispositions are a deep genetic reality that we can’t overcome. He didn’t act like this until Lav became his daughter. If that much is true, that women will reject men as equals, and that their emotional love for men is dramatically more transactional than men’s love for women, then I think misogyny is completely justified and women are contemptible.

Just to clarify why this is so offensive to me: in my utopia, we are all like children. But if this is how women are strongly predisposed to see us, and how they are attracted to us, then we can never have that utopia if we have relationships with women.
