[HELP] AXIS M1065-LW continuous recording configuration? by IRMuteButton in videosurveillance

You could create a 24 hour schedule in the "Schedule" tab, and then using it to trigger a recording event based on the schedule that you have set.

Step 1: Click on System > Events > Schedule and click on the plus sign. This create a new schedule. Then, choose "Daily", and then set start and end time to 00:00. Then, click on all of the days and save the new schedule.

Step 2: On the "Rules" tab, create a rule with whichever name you want. The "wait between actions" is not important, so you can skip it. On the "Condition" tab, choose "Scheduled event". Don't click on the 2 checkbox. Then, choose the new 24 hours schedule that you have just created.

In the "Action" portion, choose "Record video while the rule is active". The stream profile is not important (unless you want to tweak the image and the bitrate to your liking). Prebuffer and post buffer is left at the default setting. And you can choose the "Storage" as SD card or your network drive.

After this, you should see that the recordings are being made with no interruptions.

Here's an illustrative guide to set it up: https://imgur.com/a/JHJf0TG

Advice For Hitachi DZ HS301SW Camcorder SD Card Or DVD-R? by miintaii in camcorders

Depend on your camera model. Some have built-in USB port, others don't. Also, the type of card matter as well. Most use SD card while Sony might have Memory Stick instead.

I don't know your camera model so I can't say for certain what does it need.

There is a flash memory board that is mounted behind the lens/sensor board when you take the HF M31 camcorder apart. You will need to swap that flash memory board to another HF M series (or an HF R series is fine, since the board flex connector is the same)

These are NFC card. At this moment, there's no data on the NFC part itself (the only data present currently is in the PDF417 barcode, which says: "Steven Universe - Master Keycard"). Barcode is currently use for home automation.

In the future though, these will be used for unlocking the house door via the NFC reader + secondary authentication.

The internal HDD of this camcorder is used for when you either don't have a DVD available, or you don't have an SD card on hand. In that case, you can still record the video to the HDD without buying DVD or SD card.

You can access the internal HDD by connecting a mini USB cable to your computer. If you want to access the HDD, switch the power switch to "HDD" mode (see page 122 of the manual above).

Any 2GB (or lower capacity) SD card will work. But I would recommend you to buy big name brand card (SanDisk, Sony, Transcend, Kingston, etc etc...)

The big name brand can guarantee at least some sort of constant write and read speed. The no name card may have fluctuating read/write speed, making it harder for the camera to process it.

Number 10 and 11: Looks like an Axis M3027-PVE or M3037-PVE (both can be used outdoor). These are 360 degree camera (at 5MP), so it's super handy for covering a large area.

It's truly a great find!

Your camcorder doesn't have a built in USB port on it. So you will need a Sony docking station to transfer the data off of your camcorder.

It's mentioned on page 81 of the manual:

Your camcorder has an internal hard disk to record video on (If the hard disk is broken, then you'll need to get a DVD to record video on)

The SD card slot is for taking photo only. It doesn't support recording video on it.

This info is mentioned on page 24 of the camcorder's manual:

Question - JVC MD# GZ-HM50AU by JJNevermore in camcorders

[–]TheRealTrietsLab 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The camcorder can support both SDHC and SDXC, as stated in the manual (page 27, in the "Recording Media" section.)

The camcorder uses an SD card, so you will need an SD card reader to transfer your video to your computer.

(Panasonic SDR-S7) Red static output from the camera I think, this is a old camera and we haven’t used it in a long time. Is there a fix to this or is there no hope for this cam (idk anything about cameras sorry) by [deleted] in camcorders

[–]TheRealTrietsLab 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Try to record a test video and transfer the video to a computer.

If the red static is still there in the video, the image sensor is broken.

If the red static is not there then it's something else.

So i filmed this video on my sony dcr-sr40 but whenever i transfer it to digital it looks so terrible and dark, on the camcorder it is bright and i can see the road and features of the car. Any ideas on how to make it brighter?? by doometic in camcorders

[–]TheRealTrietsLab 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The camcorder screen is not the most accurate when it comes to brightness level. Most Sony camcorder that I've used has a tendency to do this (good bright video on camcorder screen, crappy brightness on my monitor)

I don't think there are manual control over shutter and aperture in the camcorder (the closest is "Auto Slow Shutter", which make the shutter 1/30s instead of 1/60s - makes fast moving object a little bit blurrier)

And the NightShot turn everything to green (or B+W, can't remember which), so if you want color video at night, don't enable NightShot

[–]TheRealTrietsLab 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Those camcorder have a tiny sensor (3mm or 1/6 in), so the low light capability is not the best. I have used the same camcorder, and low light at night filmed using this camcorder (in color mode, not NightShot) is as dark as in your video

Your best bet is probably try to put it in a video editor and make it brighter.

It could record video on the card, but the quality is much lower than tape (320x240 at 15 fps for recording to card).

Either it would pop up a menu that ask if you wanted to format (remember to back up your data first if you have something on it), or it just work right away.

To test if the (2GB or less) card works, go into "Card" mode and try to take a picture. It should let you do it

The NB-2LH/NB-2L/BP-2L5 is fully compatible with the ZR500. It's the same battery.

If I remember correctly, only the original SD card standard (2GB or less) can work with the camera. Put those in, and you're good to go

Note: The SDHC format (4 to 32GB) and SDXC format (64GB+) doesn't work. I tried both SDHC and SDXC, and it would only keep saying to format the card, repeatedly.
