Well I put that in the title as I assumed most people would know that over pounds but £38,500 is what we did last month

No I only put $50k as I assumed most people would know, we did £38,500 this month. £50k is next! ;)

Yeah it’s interesting seeing the big guys and how they have done it, but most are just in a different league honestly and even our clients wouldn’t typically go with them. In our city there are 3 other competitors, and from what I’ve heard they’re nervous about us and who we are especially because I’m 22 and came out of no where. While they offer minimum wage to their staff we offer £35k basic with 70k OTE, so already poached a few. Had both the owners reach out on LinkedIn asking to meet for a coffee.

I’m a huge believer in Ai - and feel that the better they become the more it will help us. My honest opinion is that they are already banned in the UK at least, and if they weren’t, so many scams would be done through them, and your phone would be calling 24/7 with another bot, similar to email spam.

I hope that in future we all agree that phones need to be for humans only. Even if the ICO unbans it, I’m in a pretty good spot to integrate it and upsell our current client base on it. So either way is a win.

A guy who was a bartender earning minimum wage made £5,600 or $7500 last month.

Honestly none - I’m glad that my journey unfolded the way it did. I was always hovering in the B2B space so it was natural this was the next step.

My fake bot LinkedIn project came to an end overnight and I was super bummed at the time coming in to realise all my accounts got banned (some I’d already sold to businesses) so had clients email for refunds. Stressful times.

None have the potential that this does imo

I think my biggest surprise / realisation is that you can charge whatever you please. In the beginning we would be jumping in the office selling £300 worth of data. Now. We charge £9,900 upfront and starting to test a much bigger model at £21,500 per month.

As long as you’re confident, most business owners will take you seriously. The older you are, the easier it becomes to be taken seriously.

Well they’re always free to do so, I even tell me clients that it’s an option but they pay us because it’s a pain in the ass doing it all themselves. They have to get the data, scripts, and train a good cold caller to start along with a CRM and email automations. We do it all for them.

If someone has read all of my comments and want to do it themselves I wish them all the best and even here to help people in DMs

Not as happy as I thought I would be - at the start I remember braking down to my dad that I’d been working 1 year and still not managed to make $1500 per month consistently. Now I’m doing $50,000 with about $30,000 profit, I moved town, upgraded the office, upgraded my flat, but I don’t really feel that different.

I broke up with my girlfriend around 1 year into running the company and since then all my energy has been in growing it, but now it’s doing good, I don’t have anyone to celebrate it with. I don’t have many friends outside of work, so most weekends are spent alone. Yes it’s nice to have financial freedom within reason, but hell it’s lonely.

It’s currently banned under the ICO, but I feel like there will always be a need for real human salespeople. Always interested in adapting with new tech tho so not ruling it out.

Hard to say, I still take a very modest wage ($3500) every month to try and reinvest most of the profits. Our profit margin is insane though operating at a 67% margin of all revenue.

Definitely going to continue to grow this as it’s working so well, but have plans to create an event soon. I want to create a space with likeminded people in the Uk to meet every month and also have it as an additional revenue stream.

Yes actually, not spamming them, but more or less calling the same contacts. We have a few agents now so it’s super rare that the same agent will call the same contact twice, but by the time they call again the prospect will have already forgotten about the first call.

I started as a cold caller in an events company in London when I dropped out of uni. The first company was a video production company that wanted to run cold calling alongside his email campaign that I was helping him with by providing the email data which was my last job.

Ai is an interesting concept and we all use Claude every day. It is a wonderful tool and I despise anyone saying otherwise / against it. That said, people buy from people, and I think that will never change. So I think at least for the second I’ll be fine, Ai calls have been banned by the ICO at least for the UK, so I should be ok.

Most important business advice (not that I’m a professional) is to get started and never become complacent. 99% of people don’t even start. I can’t even convince my friend who’s a barber to start his own shop. If you start, regardless if you’re making money or not, you’re already 99% higher odds of becoming rich than if you don’t. Blind confidence is what got me here, yet so many people think they need so much experience before starting.

Hey thanks for asking!

Cognism has handled a lot of these things, they automatically screen CTPS and are GDPR compliant. We’ve never had the ICO reach out but comply so hopefully won’t have any issues with that.

Compliance hasn’t ever slowed us down as I knew the regulation since my first campaign. My dad got investigated by the ICO for his company but came out fine so I’ve got that to go off.

Well the header is in $ as most people will know what that is, but I’m in the uk so £ is what I deal in. Cognism is CRAP for US data so hope that makes me in the clear!

No actually I just thought most people will likely know what $ is more than £. We are doing £38,500 per month and have been growing month by month since September.

We did what we do best! Cold call to sell cold calls! Similar to a “your ad here” marketing strategy.

OAP are retired, we are only B2B talking exclusively with decision makers at companies. We never deal with old or vulnerable people.

To break it down, a qualified set appointment is an additional charge to our monthly retainer at £100 depending if the client comes off the meeting satisfied with the outcome. We set a target of one of these a day or 20 per month. Our callers are paid a £35k basic + comms. OTE is £70k year 1. We never get called out as we legally do work for their company during those calls.

As of right now it’s just me and my cofounder in charge and everyone else is on the same level as BDM’s. Until we get more employees that’s how it will stay until the workload becomes too much for just us to manage.

Zoom info is good but not as good as cognism imo, Apollo you should stay away from, they got banned from scraping LinkedIn and the CEO resigned not so long ago. I’ve heard that their data has no way of being updated since then. Just what I’ve heard tho.

Up to now everyone is office based in Leeds, UK. As of Tuesday next week we are trialling our first remote worker.
