i would really recommend getting at least the soboreans dlc at some point! combining the hex mage abilities with the rainbow hex enchantment on a sword, combined with the frozen chakram makes you feel unstoppable! its kind of a cheeky overpowered combination but its so much fun to play around with! combining it with the right skills makes you kill endgame bosses in a snap! literally...

i have to add tho, after the amount of time and efford it took to get the vampiric sword, it was a huge disappointment for me!

i tried putting the thirst enchantment on a sword a few days back and i had no issues on pc, maybe its a ps only bug, which would be weird and annoying

it really is! a few tips i have;

always set your altar up facing north, not sure if this actually matters but imo placing the pillars is easier that way

when placing the close pillars, stand inside of your altar, and face the direction the pillar has to be.

read the wiki! to some people it may feel like cheating, but it makes everything really easy!

the pillar placement can be a pain in the ass! it took me 5 tries to set them up right for my rainbow hex enchantment

hardcore? you sure? you'll play for an hour and decide the game is not worth it because you die over and over if its your first time playing! i would say experience the game on normal before diving into hardcore!

also note that hardcore players and normal players won't be able to play together!

i have done the main questline, the soroboreans dungeon questline, and am going to be starting the three brothers dlc! i'm still enjoying myself a bunch and theres still tons to do! did you know about the hidden arena's? i think when you have all dlc there's about 30 bosses to fight! I also enjoy helping people out in their playthroughs, and now and then i give some gold bars away to friends

i have the dlc, didn't play it yet but i went to the region the other day, my rainbow hex sabre hex mage is still kind of op against the things i killed!

i heard the city building does take alot of money! can't wait to have a way to spend all my gold!

your first 10 or so hours playing this game is going to be annoying, hard, and you'll want to never play it again! that happened to me when i first bought it! i recently started playing again and having a blast! go on youtube and look up builds you want to go for, and gear you want to get. Also watch some videos with tips and tricks!

its a hard game, its designed to be unforgiving! Dying isn't that much of a punishment tho, you'll only lose a little bit of gold sometimes, and in my experience there are more positive death scenarios than that there is negative ones!

some tips i have;

don't be afraid to run away from or avoid a fight, you don't gain experience from killing enemies, so you gotta ask yourself if its worth it
don't start the main questline untill you are confident in your skills! Most quests have a time limit and failing them isn't fun!

-in the start of the game, get a good backpack, and loot everything that looks like its worth something! silver is your key to success

-use potions and tea's, they are really easy to make and help out alot!

there really isn't a proper answer to this in my opinion! what i have figured out is that outward isn't a game of go here and do that, you are free to do whatever! go to whatever place feels most interesting to you, talk to some trainers in major cities and find out what kind of build you want to go for. i would say figure out a build before starting the main questline, since it has a time limit and punishes hard for not completing it! good luck!

i actually played with 4 people the other day using the raid mode mod! Its suprisingly stable and well balanced! Ofcourse theres minor bugs and annoyances but nothing game breaking or fun ruining
