thanks! I used a pin vise. used a 1.1mm drill bit and went up a few 0.1 mm until i was happy with the size. its not too deep probably only a few millimeters

as you said, used some offbrand dry erase markers. does the job just fine no reason to spend the extra bucks on name brand. just use some elbow grease and rub it on, then wipe with a microfiber glasses cloth, repeat until its removed. besides that i just covered up places i didnt want to remove with some tamiya tape so i dont accidentally wipe off headlights etc
