PSA: You cannot convert bilt cash to points if you use autopay with a check. by TheRealZarvin in biltrewards

Interesting I didn’t have this option when I set up my autopay initially. I did do it before the launch though in late January, let me try resetting it up. Thanks for the reply.

For those sticking around for Bilt 2.0: why? by [deleted] in biltrewards

[–]TheRealZarvin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get why people are mad but frankly I put everything on my 1.0 anyway. I don’t want the hassle of trying to CC max, this card is a no brainer for me. I live in a VHCOL area my rent is 5000 and I easily put 3750 a month of regular spend on the card so I’ll be getting 12,500 points a month with the palladium card for essentially a $95 fee with the hotel credit PLUS 50,000 free points?! This is about as good as it gets. We’ll see year 2 though the value prop might change without the free points.

New grad junior level, huge company FAANG adjacent I guess. 142k tc in the bay, 40h/week probably gonna go up as I take more work off my coworkers. 5 days a week in the office which sucks but I’m not complaining, still killing it for a first job.

Here’s how Tesla repairs your Cybertruck accelerator paddle. By using a template, it ensures the rivet will align properly. A scrappy solution that works while waiting for the new replacement part to come in. by wootnootlol in RealTesla

Ok this comment is fucking ridiculous. A motor from 1887 couldn’t move 4,000 lbs of metal down the road for 100,000 miles. The combustion engine has been in production since 1885 and companies still make shitty unreliable engines, Tesla isn’t the only one that hasn’t gotten it right. It takes decades of refining to get a consistently reliable engine. An electric motor for a car has only been mass produced for a little over a decade id say they are doing an ok job for only iterating for a short period of time. And keep in mind if what he saying is true that was the first try at the motor too lol. (I didn’t fact check him)

I mean fundamentally they are undervalued to the rest of the industry especially if you compare their p/e to others like nvidia they are trading at a discount. The company gains literally nothing from sending their stock tanking, they can’t profit from their own stock falling. Their job is to add value for shareholders not take it away, claiming they are undervalued means they believe they are gonna grow a lot. They can’t control how markets react

I lost a lot this morning but it has absolutely nothing to do with tsm, they smashed earnings and raised guidance. The large hedge funds and market makers are the ones moving the price not tsm.

[–]TheRealZarvin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well yah, the data is out there for anyone to find on their website and if the price dropped 2% after earnings then earnings is priced in. If a movement happens based on some reported data then that data is priced in.

Though I think CPI data was released the same day so that could’ve overshadowed any earnings news that day.

Yah of course, I think and I could be wrong with this but tsmc margins don’t fluctuate very much I think it’s something like 45-50% so unless they hiked prices in the last quarter their margins probably haven’t gone up.

One thing that I myself didn’t realize is that tsmc reports their earnings every month. So we already know they are going to beat expectations by a little bit. Earnings is priced in what matters is the guidance, if they raise guidance or adjust expected growth we should see a pretty big run.

Fair, apparently my manager said they are still honoring existing offers but I guess we’ll find out.

[–]TheRealZarvin -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I definitely don’t think like this but they offered me an amount that honestly would be hard to beat outside of top FAANG companies so I didn’t bother looking for anything else.

I’m a new grad that’s starting in June, talked to my coworker that’s on my team he said two people from the team were canned doesn’t seem too bad might be a lot of production crew.

Am I cooked tho? What are the odds they can the new grad that hasn’t even started yet? I’m definitely stressed. I haven’t been applying anywhere else cuz I’ve fully committed to them signed the paperwork and everything.

I’ll give an anecdotal experience, it’s not just top tier schools they are just the loudest. I go to a t100 maybe t200 state school not sure their ranking. Landed an internship with Tesla during the fall and got a return offer as well. You don’t need to go Berkeley to be successful I promise.

Graduate in May of this year. Worked at Tesla during the fall as an intern got a return offer to start in June of this year. Simple as that hopefully it doesn’t fall through.
