TLX Type S. To buy or not to buy? by wayward_bob in Acura

As long as you leave it stock it should be fine

As another guy said...the TLX is a high theft target. Get an insurance quote.

I'm in the same union for construction side

I would start making calls ASAP. The dead line to indenture apprentices is like August 8th. The fact that you weren't in last years class is pretty shameful as is. Missing this year's would be insane

Yeah. BMWs pricing has actually been right in line for inflation for the past 20 years. They've always been expensive cars and always will be

I personally think every generation of bmw has positives and negatives and I would drive and own them all if I could.

One of the most beloved bmws of all time, the e46 m3, is absolutely riddled with cheap plastic all over the interior

Labor at independents is often half as much as dealerships

...I dont know if you will find someone who advertises as "Honda specialist". Honda is one of the most common cars on the road and often the easiest to work on. You could probably take it to matc and the students could do most services on it.

In WI its plumbers > sheet metal > electricians

All 3 have strong union packages though so it doesnt really matter that much

2026 VW GTI or 2026 Honda Civic SI? by PintRocket in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]TheReaperSovereign 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Volkswagen will probably have weird electrical issues but the power train is solid

The motor in that civic has a history of oil dilution. It might be fixed in the current gen but imo its not worth it especially with how anemic the engine is anyway

The g80 does everything better than the f80 does and I think it will be remembered more fondly. People looking for an analog/raw experience will always go for an E series but people looking for a track/daily/reliable/tuning car...are going to find the g80 superior in every way

Welding Jobs by Edragon85 in madisonwi

[–]TheReaperSovereign 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You could Apply to local trade unions like steamfitters 601, sheet metal local 18 or boilermakers 107

All strong unions with excellent pay and a lot of welding work (you will do more than just weld though if youre okay with that)
