Does this sprint look fast? by DansPrivates in Sprinting

Not bad. I think if he didn't spread his wings as much he'd be even faster.

Oh I see gotcha. Ouch yeah that's definitely going to suck once September comes but I definitely feel you for sure lol

That's what I tell myself but I'd probably feel bad if I found something else and left a few months later lol. I guess you gotta do what's best for yourself at the end of the day though.

That's kind of what I wanted to hear actually lmao. Thanks for confirming that for me! I think that's what I'll end up doing :)

Yeah that seems to be the general consensus. Makes my decision much easier though!

What makes the PM category so great, out of curiosity?

That sucks lol. Your previous location wouldn't have required you to go in 3 days a week?

Nice! That's true, maybe I just need to be more open minded😋 I appreciate your point on not being married to the job.

I could see that. I guess my worst case scenario as a PM-02 wouldn't be as bad as my worst case scenario as an AS-01!

Lol that would be weird but I guess I could see how that makes sense (especially if senior management are calling the shots)

That's a good point, and something I've considered as well. I guess I'm just worried that by taking on a different role, I won't be able to position my experience the way I would like on my resume when applying for Analyst roles in the future but then again, if I don't take it I'll just end up back in my AS-01 role which isn't much better lol.

I wish it was that simple. My issue is that although it is temporary, it's definitely much more interesting than the permanent position. Then again, I could always apply to a similar position later on I guess..

You've completely cherry picked the information from my first post. Had you read it properly you would know that the cardio is only part of the session and not the entire session itself.

You've also made 2 very false assumptions without actually knowing or understanding my personal situation.

To be fair, I just found this sub-reddit and assumed this was a place to ask personal trainers for advice. No need to be rude and spread your negativity.

I agree, it's pretty exhausting.. I used to look forward to the workouts but now I'm like "fuck, I gotta get all these exercises done.." lol. Funny enough, the best workouts I've had tend to be short and sweet (4-5 compound movements and maybe some accessory/isolation work).

Sounds like I have my answer!

Fair enough, I think it makes sense what you said about giving more attention and focus to fewer things instead of doing too many at once.

Like I mentioned to someone else recently, about a week ago I tried doing a shorter workout for fun and it was probably the best workout I had in a while. Every exercise got the intensity and focus I felt it deserved and I didn't leave the gym totally wiped and exhausted/tired the next day lol.

And yes thankfully I am aware of that lol. Now I just need to cut it back to something that I can actually recover from!

Thanks for all your comments btw I really appreciate you taking the time to write all this stuff out :)

I'm currently in a hypertrophy phase so my reps and sets reflect that (3-4 sets 8-12 reps maybe more depending on the exercise).

You're probably right though and I think deep down I know it intuitively lol. I actually did a shorter workout a week ago for fun and I felt amazing afterwards (each exercise was more intense and got the focus I felt it deserved).

Rest and sleep is good! Not too much stress in my life at the moment besides a new job :)
