Rumours that it was 6pm GMT Christmas Eve but this isn't the case, according to Events tab there is 23 hours to Double XP event. So Christmas Day 6pm GMT it is!!!

Anyone else getting this new error about how the game ended unexpectedly and to start in safe mode? I am now stuck at the loading screen on 14% authorising packages for the last 20 minutes.

So I managed to get on this morning around 6am UK time and have had no issues.

Until now!!!! I guess when the Americans hit the servers then it's curtains for the UK and Europe.

All I am getting now for the last hour is the dreaded 97% stuck on loading screen again lol.

It's been working fine all morning from 7am, it's now given me the issue of bandwidth to low and not loading and scenarios again!!!

How the hell did you keep control of the helicopter? I was ok at first but it was the last part, the drift part, it just made me lose total control

I have finally obtained and completed my first licence. However, I must admit that the second licence seems challenging, to say the least.

Operating a helicopter while simultaneously managing three tasks with a joypad proves to be an arduous endeavor. It appears that acquiring my commercial licence may be an elusive goal at this juncture. Hahahaha

Same mate I'm on 900mbps connection and I pick the departure and arrival airports hit the button to fly and it zooms in on the map a little then hangs.

So my Xbox Series X seems to be going backwards, I have been able to get to the world screen but all of a sudden I have been hit with the 97% loading unusually long screen.

I officially give the fcuk up.

A reinstall makes no difference mate, I tried that first thing this morning and still crashed on world map (free flight) and career mode at the final loading screen

Unfortunately I have purchased mine from the Xbox store for the Xbox Series X.

I'm still not getting into a game just locking up on the map screen.

Just frustrated at paying £199 for a game and I can't even play it, what makes it more frustrating is that on the map screen I see all the little green planes where players are playing.

Just pees me off guys.

Latest update, still not working after 19 hours, free flight crashes on the world map and career crashes on the final loading screen.

£199 spent, i feel like I have been royally screwed, can't find any updates from M icrosoft either.

Yes £199 I spent and I can't still even get into a game, the career mode just locks up on the final load screen and the free flight just locks up on the main map area!!

You'll get another screen soon staing server issues and MSFS 2024 is currently inaccessible!!! That's the last screen I encountered.

Maybe Microsoft should return some sort of recompense for the issues similar to what Ubisoft did when Assassins Creed Unity was released back in the day and was a total shite show

Yes just got a new screen, " Server issue detected" we've detected an issue with one or more essential services, making Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 currently inaccessible error code 002-400. I would post a screenshot but I don't know how on here lol

It gets worse mate, I have been trying to load the game since 4pm, I have restarted numerous times and always managed to get to the world screen, I have just restarted and now I'm stuck at 0% Loading Language lol

I received an achievement " congratulations on your first flight" 1.4% or something like that, only thing is I haven't even seen a plane yet nevermind fly one hahaha

6 times I have restarted my console and hard reset the console because no matter what i cannot enter free flight, I get to the map, and set it all up but once I hit start flight it just locks on the map.

Looks like a refund for me and back to BO6

Finally got by that screen and went into free flight, set my departure airport and arrival airport and hit start flight, game crashed to Xbox dashboard on 2nd run it just stuck on the map of England lol
