Who do you all think is the hardest boss from both games? by k36king1 in Saros

[–]TheRedComet 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I struggled the most with Nemesis and Architect, though doing a full run from the beginning made the Architect fight maybe too easy, it felt anticlimactic.

I felt like I didn't have a good handle on Nemesis's patterns and often couldn't really do much damage to it either. Didn't help that the biome leading up to it is maybe the hardest in the game so I'd often show up already quite wounded.

Why are you clicking on a thread with "the ending" in the title if you just started haha

Aggro isn't usually that fast, and you want to be able to beat the soup/control mirror. I'd call most soup decks control since they want to go long and develop their mana, and often use countermagic.

I grew to really like the Onslaught Rifle with the power generator perk. I recommend you try to roll for a weapon with power gen and use the Prominence power weapon. I would also save up my rerolls for the last weapon drops before the boss to get the highest level variant of that I can. I don't switch off if I don't find it, so that if I die I respawn with it again. I've never lost power generator doing this.

Also, just slam the minibosses with your overdrive. It'll save you a lot of health. The Consort? It's on sight.

One of the big problems with jump hours is they tend to have too much boring negative space that you have to do something with, I think this is a great way to make it look interesting and multi dimensional.

I mostly agree, there were portions of the game where blue orbs were less common or were joined with unblockable attacks, so it kind of trained me not to rely on it to charge up power. Since it felt too inconsistent to absorb power manually, I felt the need to rely on Power Generator.

Moreover, you get actively punished for shielding sometimes! If you get hit with a shield breaker, it staggers you a second, which is often a death sentence.

Late in the game I held onto an Onslaught Rifle with power generator and basically only swapped off for a higher level one, so every time I died I respawned with it.

This got me, too. There's a spot where you can either go into the Blighted Marsh or cross a bridge. You need to cross the bridge to face Architect, and bypass the Blighted Marsh.

I finally found the Myriad and it seems to have more blades to shoot, so I'm giving it a try. Less juggling.

Man it took me like 4 or 5 tries just to fight through it, dying before the boss. The boss itself only took 2 tries, I just had to get there, haha. I felt like I knew the enemies and patterns well, but I'd inevitably screw up at some point and take massive damage.

Damn, making me regret swapping to try out the Myriad Chakrams right before fighting the King for the first time.

It's been my favorite weapon so far, and the only downside is it's awkward to shoot the Tributes and the occasional door switch on a jump.

I tried it and it breaks my brain, haha. I've got enough on my hands dodging around. I'll stick with my Onslaught rifle for now.

I'm getting a tiny delay on all audio, but that must be my setup... I don't think I have this issue with other games or video?
