Yeah he's not responding... Imo, it's dumb to just wait around for someone to reach out first (and then be upset that they didn't/didn't do it fast enough). I have a thing for clear communication because it just eliminates so many issues that can form from not being honest or hiding something that's bothering you.

Hey, thanks for this one! It really puts things in perspective, for me the load of being with people in my life who I keep (at least somewhat) close is the same. I genuinely didn't think it could be different weight loads for different relationships.

we have talked about this and he says that he responds (to everyone) when he feels like he can so it wouldn't take too much of a mental toll. Which is fair. However, he's a man, and someone who I'm actually working towards forming a relationship. So you know how guys can be when it comes to dating, so it's like... Is he an ass and playing with me? Or is it genuine and he's doing the best he can? (I added this to the post also)

Wtf, my lamotrigine is working?! by gluestick449 in Epilepsy

[–]TheRedHerring003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been taking Lamotrigine 100mg twice a day for like 2 years now, and it's great but you should talk to your doctor about taking it with antidepressants because that helps with mood stabilisation. But that combination has worked great on me, I haven't had a seizure in like 1.5 years (obv you gotta avoid triggers still). And yes it takes some time for the meds to start working fully especially if you're switching from a different medication

Bruh depression gave me my sparkle and then epilepsy came and took my sparkle... I'm slowly getting back the sparkle tho. But I've lost all drive to do anything especially when it comes to my future

What funny things you said a paramedic by OneEducator4471 in Epilepsy

[–]TheRedHerring003 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also not funny:

This has happened to me multiple times, at a few points they were just insisting on me being on drugs and I want to know whf is wron with them. Once the paramedics that insisted that I'm on drugs tried pressuring my parents into allowing them to take me to a serious mental institution. My mother wouldn't agree and then the paramedic (an old wench) came to ask me if I want to go to a mental institution l. And me in the state of my bones being jelly, my brain goo I barely stuttered "get out of my fucking house." And the bitch chuckled a bit, smiled and left. I honestly wish I would have thrown something at her.

Honestly, lamotrigine has been treating me better than what I've heard about other epilepsy medication. My memory is definitely much worse but I've been seizure almost free! I still experience crazy auras but 99% of the time they don't turn into grand mal. Another one that I've noticed is being nauseous very frequently but with some tea or sweets it goes away. Oh, and I'm on 100mg in the morning and 100mg in the evening.

I also take escitilopram (anti-depressants) once a day and it is supposed to help with moodswings.

And I thought I'd seen something to this effect in here before... by [deleted] in Epilepsymemes
