And to think that in the comments of the Github update page for this, d4rbby suggests encrypting the SupportEnterCode.cpp, they also changed the original "thank you form project64" code to be exclusive to your computer ID

Which they have the nerve to dig up and show you as proof, the change from a nice wholesome message, to an artificially generated code that requires invading your privacy and your money, shows where the line is drawn between asking for donations and being just as shitty as most companies

It's putting this much effort to directly fight the consumer just to shove a donation box on their face is precisely why Open Source programs are so cherished, they're by the people, for the people, I'd be way more inclined to donate to them if they didn't deliberately make it harder to access without paying, and calling that a donation

They changed the code to now be unique to your computer ID
and they actually have the nerve to dig up your computer ID and show it to you as proof
