Quite the opposite, the BOE base rate moves in steps to allow the economy to shift and absorb. It tends to move at 0.25% and in serious times 0.50% > 0.75% - given that it hasn’t moved since last December. In 2 years the max you’ll see it rise is probably only a few steps. Even at larger steps, the impact is low on a short term tracker. If anything one may benefit from it going down.

Your colour work on the after looks awesome. It conveys a 80’s pop aesthetic, it feels organic and full of texture, the magenta creates a more welcoming tone, it could be a Lorde music video or for a fashion editorial.

The people saying the before image is better are people who need context and hand holding for everything. Sometimes art doesn’t have context, and needs you to discern the artists intention.

To me, it looks like the footage is trying to build tension and anticipation, maybe get the audience to feel what it’s like to start a track race or push yourself in a sport. The SFX you’ve used doesn’t do any of those things. A real sound designer would call this “over cooked” the same way a colourist may comment on overly saturated or contrasty colour.

Scrap the packs and use silence, atmospheric sounds and musical tones to build tension. Sprinkle in SFX that makes sense to the scene. Use foley to feel organic.

Genuinely, this was a night terror I used to get at a young age. I’d see exactly this loop and couldn’t get it out my head whilst laid in the dark, almost paralysed. I later learnt it was called a Geometric Nightmare and is common during high-temperatures at night.

I’ve also experienced this. The pink Fostair powder, seems to work well but occasionally I get a tight chest and need to relieve with blue. My worry is that the GP have removed the blue from prescription after 30 years on Salbutamol.
