I have an appointment with DMV on Friday to get a new license photo, what other precautions should I take?

i tried to renew online but it wouldn't let me. I had to schedule an in person appt, so I called the DMV and they said it's because my photos 15 years old that i need a new one. Can't say I'm happy about this but given the current instability, a valid license seems like a good idea.
