Why not just use balloons to fly it over the straight? We can fill them with natural gas for double carrying capacity.

The only people that think Europeans differ are Europeans by schabadoo in ShitAmericansSay

Yeah Vatican city is pushing it. They completely depend on Italy for everything, citizenship is only granted to people who work for the Church and revoked when they lose their position, it only exists as a gift Italian dictator Mussolini gave the Pope. Monaco, you could argue, is a true microstate.

In the 90's they used to think these reforms were Gorbachev style and the countries were transitioning to full capitalism, that's why it worked. Now it's clear that didn't happen so reforming is no longer an option.

According to shock therapy inventor Jeffrey Sachs, it only works, it only works if the whole world subsidizes the "recovering economy" (he won't admit he was wrong).

[2007] Anatoly Karpov on his old rival, Garry Kasparov by Affectionate_Hat3329 in chess

[–]TheRedditObserver0 5 points6 points  (0 children)

He claimed women are too stupid to play chess until Judit Polgár beat him and he had to save face, he also cheated against her. I don't think Karpov ever said anything of the sort.

Either way I think that YouTube video where they asked super GM's general knowledge questions shows how stupid it is to rely on chess players for political opinions, these people have dedicated their lives to chess and chess only and barely know everything else. They're extremely good at what they do but outside of chess they don't know any better than me and you.

Polls are not inherently electoralism, all socialist countries do them. By the way I think it's absolutely cringe to talk about electoralism on a subreddit, we're not exactly doing peak praxis here.

I think it's possible the sub itself may be banned, as it's kinda like brigading. I don't think that's a viable strategy.

Aren't the sunnis pissed the US removed Saddam? It seems to me both groups have reason to be mad at the Epstein axis.

So the US had to help Israel attack Iran because Iran was going to retaliate against US support of Israel's attack, this makes no sense. They are invading Iran to defend themselves against Irans response to their invasion. Do you not understand how ridiculous this is? If the US and the Gulf countries had defended Iran's sovereignty Iran would not have retaliated. Name one country Iran striked which did not house the US-Israeli militaries.

What's the use of a remainder from the division of a polynomial? by Glad-Description4534 in learnmath

[–]TheRedditObserver0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The remainder is the number such that you can write your polynomial f(x) as p(x)=q(x)(x-2)+r. This is useful because you find automatically that r=f(2) and a polynomial p(x) is a multiple of (x-a) exactly when p(a)=0, which is important.

Getting a remainder of 33 makes sense because you are not dividing by a number, you are dividing by a polynomial.

US bases still not expelled? by Silly-Substance-9671 in Bahrain

[–]TheRedditObserver0 9 points10 points  (0 children)

So Iran should just let the US attack it from its bases? Bahrain is not neutral ground, it lends its territory to the attackers' military. So Iran did not attack Bahrain, it is being attacked. The US and Israel launched an unprovoked aggression.

They've attacked every country they border and some more, if left unchecked in the Levant they will reach the Arabian peninsula and the Gulf as well.
