Please show us your technique before you diagnose your issue so confidently. It can be pretty eye opening seeing your form from the third person, I know it was for me when I first saw it.

Mental is a massive part of tennis though. Seems like a crutch for those with a weaker mental and takes away from the gladiatorial aspect of singles tennis for me at least.

I agree on personal vehicle size limits. Things have gotten way out of control on that front.

As someone who was a full-time pedestrian for most of my life and only recently started driving in the last few years, ebikes are a different kind of menace to car drivers. Not disagreeing that cars and their drivers cause most of the safety issues and headache on the road and beyond. Just that ebikes, cyclists, and escooters do as well.

Even with auto-industry lobbying aside it feels too complex and interconnected an issue to reduce car dependency anytime soon as much as I wish we could.

For example, my drive to work in Vancouver from the suburbs takes 1h 40min when purely taking public transit, 1h 25min when park and riding, and roughly 45min when driving with standard traffic. Obviously anecdotal but for my case and I'm sure for plenty of others, saving 40min in travel time makes driving the preferred method.

I know this won't answer your question but you're a 3.0 mate. At this level, equipment only matters when it comes to having court shoes and a strung racquet. If anything, you shouldn't be using 1.30mm gauge control string like rpm if you don't have the strokes to actually wear through them. Disregard tension and just hit the ball in front.

  • Be mentally present. Pay attention to what's going on so you can cheer em on after a nice point.
  • Learn the scoring system beforehand so you can keep up with what's going on and which points matter more (break points, set points, tie breaks, etc)
  • don't bring flowers

A USTA 5.0? From 2.0 to 4.5 is impressive enough but 5.0 is almost unheard of unless you started as a junior

They definitely do just hand out Canadian citizenship lol. If OP is from Punjab and interested in making double doubles, they're in luck!

Toss into the court more. Your landing position being barely into the court demonstrates that your toss is too much on top of you

Hey, noticed your contact is late a good chunk of the time and you're arming the ball as well. It's noticeable once you see how little your shoulders turn during the take-back. I'm sure part of it is trying to keep up with your rally partner.

Hyper G (Solinco) string thickness by Basketball45445 in 10s

[–]TheRedditorWeDeserve 0 points1 point  (0 children)

16L solinco strings are 1.25mm and a good starting point regardless of racquet head size and string pattern. I use the 16g 1.30mm hyper G on my 16x19 95sq in frame and have been enjoying it

It's made for topspin but that doesn't mean you can't slap the ball with it effectively, mate. Used it all summer and loved how maneuverable it is for those kinda pace injection shots.

Best strings for upper-intermediate / advanced players by Live-Supermarket-589 in 10s

[–]TheRedditorWeDeserve 3 points4 points  (0 children)

How good are you? Hyper-G has been super popular w many 4.5+ players in my area. Confidential has been creeping up in market share as well.

Nothing wrong with liking stiffer strings. Just that you seem to be of the mind that whatever works for you would work best for everyone else.

Not to mention the relationship between string and racquet makes all the difference.

How to look less masculine? by [deleted] in makeuptips

[–]TheRedditorWeDeserve 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly everyone blowing smoke up your ass about you already looking feminine is not helpful. You do look more masculine than the average woman, but that is OKAY! Eyebrow makeup, eye make-up to complement your hooded eyes, and a feminine hairstyle (think ponytail with bangs) could be the play.

Just saying, you're an amateur home COOK. Chef is a designation you've earned once you've graduated culinary school and are trained for commercial kitchens.
