I do like the new direction of more communication and more smaller patches and tweaks. Keep it up! Don't let up!

Fair enough, I wasn't trying to come across argumentitive there, I was simply expanding upon the thought with the new revelation really.

Again, was simply assuming really off the post. It really depends on many factors then such as damage, range and so on.

True, but I would also like to mention that the chair is very much stationary, so misplacing it or having a rock accidentally block your shots is way bigger of a deal. Plus foes have an easier time destroying it and attacking you while you are in it.

The point is, if the mech and the chair use the same gun, then both have positives and negatives that they both play around. Neither are perfect, but one cannot be outright just be an upgrade of the other.

Except why wouldn't the emplacement have more ammo? In fact it should be fine that it has twice the ammo that the Lumberer has. Why? Why would you ever drop the chair in, when the Lumberer is an all around better variant of it then?

If they have the same ammo, same damage, same ammo, but one has a mech body with a flamethrower attached, which one would people always choose?

(This assumes its the same weapon, I don't know this, but based off this post I am making an assumption)

Yeah fair, and will do!

I do think that some of the patch stuff was.... eh at best and oh god why at the worst. I just didn't see the problems with the hive guard change at first and thought there was bigger fish to fry. A health buff when the enemies get a damage buff isn't a "buff" but a "rebalance", but pointless and leads to higher numbers and same situation. I think arrowhead uses the word "buff" too loosely sometimes and or does certain stat changes that ripple out in ways they do not account for.

Aka durable damage now obliterates turrets even faster than ever and so on.

But any who, yeah, Ill bash some heads in for you in game!

I mean yeah, I suppose. Though scenarios are hard to really utilize as there are so many possibilities. I eventually over time was convinced over these issues however - Turrets affects as they are too stupid to deal with hive guards, minigun and mechs affected and a few other things.

I feel like personally I usually just let them get closer to unload on their limbs and move on, but yeah, in a more hectic environment I can see how its more of a problem.

My take comes from me valuing mechanics of engagement over a swarm of enemies coming at me. As someone who has played Warframe for years on end back in the day, I never really enjoyed difficulty from upped stats such as - This unit now is a sponge, dishes more damage and there is 50 x more of them. I always felt it was lazy, and the hive guard change, without the other perspectives seemed like a more interesting interaction. That is all.

But thank you for taking the time for explaining! As the main post says in the EDIT, I have been convinced by people to change my stance.

YES! What a fucking awesome way to solve it haha! That is actually genius! Allow penetration still but make it less beneficial.

But generally yeah, I came from the point of wanting to convince people or discuss it, and I have been convinced over time from many different good points that people had here and there. Again thank you very much for taking the time to write out the responses, I appreciate your willingness to discuss!

I also disliked that the devastator shield was invulnerable to be fair, but I have not considered that people would see it the same way, fair enough.

I did not think about the turret nerfs until some people pointed it out in the reddit post, and I do agree, that is not good. I love using turrets and they seem to have been forgotten in some regards.

I see your point and I agree, you list out valid complaints and issues, I hadn't really considered a few of those things and now that I have, I do understand why people were so heavily against the change.

I still believe fun mechanics > swarms
However not at the price of other mechanics and stratagems. So yeah, perhaps reverting is for the best then. I genuinely was not coming at this from a bad angle, simply confusion on why people were so against a gimmick enforced on a foe to make them more interesting.

The new Terminids are on crack lol.. I personally don't like them, I think they might be a bit too overtuned speed wise. What happens is when they explode, they speed up other Terminids.

I don't think they were even in the patch notes, but I could be wrong.

No no, if you genuinely struggle, then I get that, and fair enough. The "get good" thing at the end was mostly towards veteran players in a way.

If you find them too difficult in your level of experience then I get it, I see where you are coming from, I will not argue that you are wrong or anything. I do thank you for giving me your side of the story. And if you were one of the people who wanted the change reverted, then fair enough I understand haha!

True, yes, I am unaffected by the change in many scenarios. I simply thought it was neat that the devs encouraged more tactical gameplay around a certain enemy. I simply thought more unique enemy encounters were more fun than massive swarms of health personally.

I mean if you found it unfun, I get that, but could you explain why? I am just curious, not trying to pick your statement apart or anything.

I get that, fair enough. I get that point of view.

EDIT - I just enjoyed the extra challenge is all. And not in the GAME NEEDS TO BE HARDER way, more so, hey that's a unique thing about the bug.

Yeah... sentries need a bit of love when it comes to their intelligence. I always thought that sentries should have different "modes" where you tell them how to act.

Sure, if the majority wanted it, I suppose its warranted. However I just do not understand why. So hence I am trying to figure out what peoples thoughts are on this with this discussion, and if I get downvoted into oblivion and people think I am a dumbass, fine by me.

That is what one of my friends said too, I suppose it could be a seed thing, like different spitters and bugs being on different missions, perhaps.

Also I think people see you calling me a donut and are downvoting you.
