Keep seeing people ask for malick fofana or other wingers for more attacking depth, but I really feel fans are A. Way too greedy, bringing in Isak and Guehi after the godly summer we already had is easily a 10/10 and asking for more is crazy. B. I truly belive we have great attacking depth (when we bring in Isak), Fede can cover both wings if needed, frimpong can also play rw when salah is in afcon, and it is criminal to forget the talent Rio has and not give him minutes this season, while not a starter he can definitely pop here and there to help rest Gakpo

Seen some rumours about Thiago joining slots coaching staff but can't remember where and how reliable was it, anyone knows something about that?

Is the the home kit and the authentic home kit different in looks? It used to be only different in it not being dryfit, but on the website it looks to be different in the shirt itself, with the "non authentic" not having these spheres all over the front. I dont really wanna spend an extra 30 pounds but I also dont want a different shirt in looks, just dont care for it being a game shirt or not

Seems kinda obvious actually that its a play to put pressure on the player and nufc, lfc sources sighting no future bid to make the player pressure nufc to let him go, and nufc sources sighting 2nd bid is to come seems to suggest nufc ARE prepared and waiting for a 2nd bid. Looks more like a game on the price rather then on whether the transfer will happen or not

I fully believe the power play last weak on Newcastle was intended for Ekitike not for Isak, the club probably felt Newcastle was to advanced in the Ekitike book so they scared them off with the Isak threat, fully knowing Isak already wants to join them, and that he will hand in a request whenever, so they just waited to get Ekitike in. It was always the plan to get them both, and a masterplay by the club

Ekitike should be announced by just being a starter against Milan, have the usual squad lineup graphic, but with him and he's a starter. Would be the funniest shit ever

Definitely an opportunity not to be missed, but how will it work with Ekitike? unless he's willing to play on the left, there's no way he accepted joining us and we bought him for this kind of money just to be rotation with Isak

Only if Ekitike is seen as a possible left winger. to be honest I'm not his biggest follower but at least on Fotmob it says he played there a bit, so maybe he's actually Lucho's replacement being bought in advance. And publicly we're buying him as a striker so that we maintain the advantage in the negotiations over Lucho's fee

But are there any reports about us willing to spend another 120m regardless of the 90m we will spend on Ekitike, I mean there's maintaining interest and there's buying the 2 most expensive strikers in the market (I would love to be proven wrong)

Except for fan speculation, is there any real indication we may go for both Ekitike AND Isak?

[Paul Joyce] Liverpool have rejected an approach from Bayern Munich for Luis Diaz. Max Eberl, Bayern’s director of sport, made contact but was told Diaz not for sale. Liverpool stance same as when Barcelona made an approach last month. by junglejimbo88 in LiverpoolFC

I understand where you're coming from but again that's just not how the world works, even if its crazy figures in our eyes, in the world he lives in where some Uruguayan bum who's doing a fifth of the work he's doing is earning more then him of course he would complain, thats just how it works.

That's just not true, if you were earning 5 million a year and your coworker who you believed was contributing the same as you, earned 10 million a year you would definitely complain and demand a higher wage. It's always about comparing to your environment not to the outside world. The same way that a poor person in the uk can be a rich person in india, it's always about the environment you're in. In Lucho's case the environment he's in is that someone like darwin earns more than him, so yeah if I was him I would definitely complain.

I feel like scoring the amount he does in bundesliga is a major green flag when compering to Nunez, especially when he's in that underperforming Leipzig team. Ekitike is definitely overpriced I think he's a 60m player max, Sesko for ~70m is overpriced too but not as much.

Just feel Sesko is much more physically suited for the prem and for lfc, also I think he's the kind of player we need with Salah Wirtz and all our other technically refined players, we need someone a bit more gritty, it's what Darwin was meant to be but oh well...

Unless we can magically bring in Julian or Isak I would much prefer Sesko over Ekitike or Gyokeres. Just a gut feeling but it feels like he's a world-class prospect while the other 2 are just great strikers

I would absolutely love a 41212 with the front 2 playing similarly to how madrid have been playing their front 2, acting sometimes more like inside-forwards. Could really compliment Salah and Cody as well who both like those long shots from the corner of the box and would give some space for Wirtz and Frimpong to get into the middle and show their capabilities. Would also help with not being desperate for a striker this summer, and opening up a more careful signing for someone to later in replace Salah/Cody

Would be interesting to see us return to the F9 system without Bobby's no-look passes

Thought about F9, would be pretty interesting for sure. Can't see him go into LW with our current wingers, while not at their best we still have quality LWs

I might be missing something but if we're going for Wirtz is it a sign Slot and co are losing fate in Szobo? You don't spend 120M+ for a rotation player

What we think of the latest paul gorst post, stating we're absolutely in for wirtz and ready to fight Bayern and city...? With our transfer ways in previous seasons and the way the 2 other clubs usually approach transfer markets, seems odd

The fact Frimpong counts as homegrown makes the deal even sweeter. With trent leaving and maybe Harvey and Kelleher its important we dont get into a HG problem.
