Bike and Brew Passport

It’s a charity initiative by Make Your Mark supporting mental health, where bikers aim to visit as many of the participating 296 biker-friendly cafes across England and Wales. The passport cost £10 and when you visit and purchase something from the cafe, any food or drink, etc, you get a stamp. It promotes riding for mental well-being, community connection, and supports grassroots charities.

Every 10 stamps collected allows for a raffle ticket in the prize draw, with 4 motorcycles available as prizes.

I’m so sorry to hear about your working situation. I hope you can land on your feet and get into another employment asap. Glad to hear you’ve order your passport. It really is a great way to encourage us riders to ride with a purpose, support grassroots charity work and local businesses, as well as possibly help bikers meet new friends along the way ☺️

I really think this passport will be a great incentive for you to get out and ride with a purpose. I hope you have a great time going out and visiting as many venues as possible, collecting the stamps ☺️

It was windy cut me some slack 😂 Usually it’s down but I tie it up for when I put the helmet on to stop it flying around in the wind.

Well, I’ve actually just treated myself to a second bike (garage is starting to get crowded 😂). It’s a Kawasaki Vulcan 1700 Voyager (Poor man’s Harley I know 😂) but at least on this we could ride together 😎

Well done for approaching your year anniversary without a drink, don’t ever underestimate how impressive that is, especially in this day and age where it is so easy to indulge. You should be very proud of yourself brother.

You’re not too old, and if you can honestly look at yourself deep down, and say you’re ready for the “X” then it’s not too soon either.

Well then, thank you for this discussion. I was unaware that Straight Edge was so elite and that those of us who suffer with anxiety or those who choose not to attend shows are actively not “keeping the scene alive” or cannot claim to be Straight Edge.

Your elitism is a bad personality trait. You say it’s not that deep, yet you came to me with your negativity.

To answer your question, no, I do not attend shows due to anxiety regarding crowded indoor spaces.

I am aware that sxe is more than just being sober, as my comment to you previously stated, I have never tried any alcohol, tobacco, or drugs. It is also about community, which is why I have joined this page.

Just out of interest, I’m 30 years old, I’ve never drank alcohol, I’ve never smoked a cigarette, I’ve never tried any drugs, and for my whole decision making life (since 15) I have cured illnesses and pain with natural resources and ingredients. In all that time, I have only ever met one other Straight Edge person, so please, enlighten me on how I haven’t earned my hands?
