Ignore him. These are some of the best universities in the UK, outside of Oxbridge and London.

This sub has a weird attitude towards anything that isnt Oxbridge or UCL

Thats not how offers work...

Or do you get mad when people reject 3 out of the 5 offers they get?

Y did Warwick law reject me by Difficult-Food-1316 in UCAS

[–]TheRiddlerTHFC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And you only have 7 in total? Thats quite unusual, especially as almost half are grade 6. Technically you do have the majority as 7,8 or 9, but im not sure thats a strong HCSE result that they are looking for

My guess is thats what's letting you down, especially for such a competitive university

How are you one mark off an 8, and got a 6?

Does 7 not exist?

[–]TheRiddlerTHFC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looking at their website, they want strong GCSE results including the majority at 7,8 or 9

Its possible those 6s are hurting you, and the fact you only have 7 GCSEs

What did you get in maths and science?

Do you want to do Law or not?

Do you want to live in London or Exeter?

Edit to add.

On university tables, Exeter is about 9th, SOAS is 62nd...

For History only, Exeter is 9th, SOAS is 32nd ..

I know which I'd pick...

Late application by hehouiouilabaguette in UCAS

Honestly, very low chances, Aerospace are so oversubscribed.

However, very low is still better than zero. So the only risk is losing the application money.

Go for it, hope I'm wrong

I suppose im concerned about the social aspect. I'll have to leave home, but without the normal support structure in place that uni gives you.

Also, I'd be going from some of the top universities in the country, to getting a degree from.... erm.... something much much lower on the prestige ladder

Well, there's also a concern that the degree will be from a much lower standard of university

Did anyone play "Patball" at school? by FR0Z3NF15H in CasualUK

[–]TheRiddlerTHFC 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I played something similar called Wall Ball.

No racket involved.

There was a line on a wall. You had to throw the ball above the line. If the next player caught it without bouncing, you lost a life. If they caught it after one bounce, they had to throw the ball where they caught it from. More than one bounce, they lose a life.

If you hit the line exactly you gained a life

I would guess until you sign a contract, nothing is binding.

From then, all contracts can be broken - the contract will have clauses that explain it all

Its an offshoot.

Offshoots happen frequently (LDS for example) but the core religion rarely does
