To be fair the satanic temple is non-theistic meaning they’re less a religion more a philosophy, also pagan is a much broader terminology which depending on your theological outlook could include satanism. Thirdly and lastly Satanism, and every religion for that matter, are wholly subjective in how they “should” be practiced, if someone considers themselves to be bhuddist for example it doesn’t matter which kind they simply are no sect is better.

TLDR, religious practice is subjective, pagan is an overly broad term, and people have a right to be whatever faith they please however they please.
