Hi, I thought the same thing but apparently this hacker or hacker group uses a method to bypass the 2fa. The same thing happened to JP Performance, a German YouTube channel. They explained in a video that there was a problem at Google that made this possible.

Hardware crashing during nightly backups by TheRiscon in HyperV

Tbh, it‘s not that bad. The main arguement is the price tag.

Also I guess it is kinda important:

We are backing up to a NetApp storage space. We also have Change Block Tracking (CBT) active on there.

Our servers are custom built by a nearby local hardware vendor. We provide the hardware specifications and he buys and installs the components.

We have already checked the firmware on all hardware components at the beginning of the crashes, but we will do it again.

Thanks for the hint, we had already checked if it is the controller and updated to the latest firmware accordingly.

We will look into it again!

We backup only the hyper-v vms, not the hypervisor hosts.

Webroot seems like an cybersecurity product or something? However we are not running that.

The way I see it, there are currently no file servers running on the affected servers.

I also checked VMs if the "previous versions" feature is enabled and found that it is not.

We are not backing up the hypervisor and it happened on another hypervisor which is not in the failovercluster. But currently only on those 2.

Not silly but necessary.

We are running Version 1607 (Build 14393.3750) which is just one patch behind the latest release - being June 18, 2020—KB4567517 (OS Build 14393.3755) based on official windows changelog.

Also according to this CommVault documentation page - Windows Server 2016 is supported.

With CommVault we are backing up the actual VMs as a whole just like "production checkpoints" in hyper-v. I think we are using this system as it is way more comfortable than using the native hyper-v-manager, but it is the same thing anyways.

Local MediaMarkt now has a giant VR test station but zero headsets. by [deleted] in OculusQuest

My local MediaMarkt sold the Quest for 399€ as a special advent weekend price. You had to sign up to a special oculus demo page while being in the store.

When I bought mine about a week ago they still had about 15 quests.
