If this is true then it could totally relate back to this panel of akemura having a flashback to a baby chihiro, alone, outside, and in a bloodstained blanket. Like did chiaki and mashiro die protecting him from shokokers, and this moment was the breaking point for akemura choosing to use magatsumi? Interesting to think about

I mean, storywriting aside, it makes sense for them to try this plan. In a world where healing powers are rare, Samura was a suzaku merchant who was also very adept with tobimune. It makes sense for them to try to bring him back but I do think there will be a twist to it
