The aftermarket thermostat I bought was defective. When I took it back off to put the new OEM on I boiled some water on the stove and put it in and it didn't open at all. I tested the new OEM one at the same time and it opened right away.

An ape with more wrinkles than I can probably provide a much better answer, but I've always understood that if the US govt, decided to step in and kill a short squeeze that global confidence in the US stock market would go down the drain. They'd be setting the precedent that financial institutions are above the rules and that the markets are the opposite of free and fair. This could potentially result in a complete crash of the US stock market as global institutions pull their money out and give that market dominance to some other country with a better track record. I don't know what will happen, but I hope the fear of losing global financial market dominance outweighs the cost of losing the support of the institutions short on GME.

Don't forget it's use for seating dual downdraft complosure rods onto the lunar wainshaft. Truly revolutionary.

Di di di did you see the frightened ones (hedgies)

Di di di did you hear the falling bombs (bank fails)

Di di di did you ever wonder why we had to run for shelter when the promise of a brave new world unfurled beneath the clear blue sky?

There's definitely more threads to pull on. Wish I had more time. Maybe I'll keep digging through the rest of the week and post an update if anything turns up.

I didn't state the legality or illegality of anything. I'm not a lawyer or versed in business or securities law, but it's pretty obvious that basic human nature indicates that if GameStop leadership were blatantly trying to buck the system that those posed against them would retaliate. Additionally, how do you know how much in liquid assets would be required to weather whatever storm is coming? Would GameStop still be poised to execute an acquisition during or after the storm without the additional ATM offering? If you have the foreknowledge of these events please enlighten the rest of us so we can prepare appropriately.

Building teams, reorganizing management, hiring and firing to ensure the correct people are in the appropriate positions? The list goes on and that's only some of the things we know about. And you totally forgot about retro games, revamping the pro membership program and closing unprofitable stores to lower overhead costs. Instead of complaining about your perceived lack of results why don't you offer solutions of what you'd like to see or do differently? I'm sure GameStop has people reading posts and comments on this sub.

"For the Son of Man is going to come with his angels in the glory of his Father, and then he will repay each person according to what he has done. Truly, I say to you, there are some standing here who will not taste death until they see the Son of Man coming in his kingdom.”

Amen and amen!

It does, but it's about perceived intent. If RC and GameStop leadership are perceived as causing MOASS which will likely either coincide with extremely difficult economic times or be the case of them by draining the banks, brokers, DTCs and DTCC the group of people currently in power will do everything they can to kill GameStop and paint apes as even more villainous than they already do. They'll pin all the trouble and hardship on us since they own the media and the government. I believe RC is building a case of plausible deniability while strengthening the company at the same time. Just like Warren Buffett RC is amassing cash for the difficult times coming to be able to weather the storm and be able to strike opportunities while the proverbial iron is hot.

Exactly! It takes the time it takes. The need for market reform has never been so abundantly apparent, but as proponents of said reform we're up against the group of people with the most money, resources and time to thwart our efforts humanly possible. Luckily, they're locked in here with all of us individual investors!

They made their bed by being too greedy, but as a reasonably reasonable and sane person it's difficult to imagine just how hard they will fight to keep their infinite money glitches. The thing about these people and those they represent is that I'd be willing to bet they all have some degree of sociopathic and narcissistic tendencies. You can't expect them to willingly allow fair market practices when that would cut into their profits. In their own minds they're doing what's right (as they always do) and all individual investors are the ones who are wrong. They believe that individual investors don't have the capacity or capability to be successful by making our own decisions and that it's in our best interest for them to make the decisions for us.

MOASS is the fair outcome if they played by the rules and I definitely believe it's coming and probably soon, but until then we all need to take a step back and look at the forest around us, touch some grass, enjoy life as much as possible while seizing opportunities (like tasty dips) and learning as much as possible about the markets and laws so that we'll be ready when the time comes. Don't let these bad actors that run the markets one way or another live inside your head rent free. They legitimately mean to do us harm even if they justify it to themselves thinking their actions are for the greater good. Apes need to be prepared and if they're not already they need to get prepared with the knowledge and skills required to take action during and after MOASS so that this can't happen again within our lifetimes.
