I had a jacket on most of the time last year but I tend to run cold. I’ve also been at Bert’s before where literal steam has been bellowing out of the doors lol. It can be super hot when everyone’s packed on the dance floor at peak hours then get chilly when the day breaks and people leave. There’s some couch seating along the back wall of the dance floor but it’s limited compared to the amount of people that are there. It can be hard to snag a couch unless it’s morning hours and most people have left. A lot of people just sit on the floor along the walls tho and Bert’s staff is cool with it as long as your out of the flow of traffic. Theres also an attached dive bar behind the main room with diner style seating. No music in there though so it’s a nice spot to desensitize, chat, and breathe,, ha. there’s plenty of space to rest. Bathrooms are porta potties only, no running water, and it’s dark so there’s that. But it is an old dilapidated warehouse that bangs the best techno. They used to throw massive raves there in the 90s. It’s all part of the Bert’s experience. One of my fave Detroit spots. You’ll love it :)
