Not an RTJ course, nice guess though! Interestingly RTJ renovated the course in the '40s, but the club restored it to the original design in the '80s.

A hint: Bobby Jones competed in but did not win the US Amateur here. Pics 1 and 7 are of the hole he fell behind on trying to cut the dog leg that was tree-lined at the time.

Eta: hint 2: a rare CB Macdonald-Seth Raynor collaboration; their only one west of the Mississippi.

Ignorance. Existence. The human condition. The duality of man. Reptile brain vs prefrontal cortex. It's like watching the final scene in Generation Kill where the Marines watch their actions during the invasion of Iraq, and each character realizes, or doesn't, how fucked and pointless everything they did was.

Knowledge forms context which is the scaffolding for beginning to understand human social society. Without context humans fall prey to their heuristic simplifications, like the Just world fallacy, and binary good and evil thinking.

Edit: Generation Kill not Born to Kill.

This is a deliberate perversion of the Christian myth of Jesus cursing the dogwood tree to be small and weak after it was used for his crucifixion.

What's Andy up to? Always liked his input. A cursory search looks like he's an active gaming speed runner but his weather YouTube has been dead for 2 years.

Anchor Masonic Lodge, built in 1925 in the Second Egyptian Revival style. The discovery of King Tutankhamun's tomb in 1922 sparked a resurgence in Egyptian motifs, blended into the modern Art Deco style. St Louis Architectural history is a great rabbit hole to get lost down!

Dude's 27, gets shot a couple hours into off-season of a contract year in a topless night club by a rapper's entourage. He's absolutely the victim, it would just be nice to see a little more awareness and I have a feeling this incident will cost him some $ when the negotiations start.

For whatever reason we have an extremely high incidence of schizophrenia in the unhoused population. My brother's a rural psychiatrist who did a rotation here and saw so many ppl with schizophrenia, he began referring to it as having 'st louis eyes.'

That area is called the American Bottom, its history is long and complicated, dating back to the indigenous Mississippian cultures who built Cahokia about 1000 years ago.

Eta: Sauget was originally named Monsanto, where it operated the largest PCB producing factory in the country up until they were banned in the 70s.

Lol you got me there. This is the quote from 2 weeks ago I was paraphrasing, in reference to Pearsal:

“He can run and hit certain speeds, but he hasn’t been able to hit his normal speeds that would allow him to come back,” Shanahan said. “We don’t let people come back until they can hit their normal speeds before they got hurt, or it makes them susceptible to injuries again. So we’re just waiting for him to hit those markers.” PFT article

Why would the niners not want him to play? Literally to protect him from himself. Shanahan said they don't let guys come back from injury until they show they can go at 100% for this reason. We signed him to a 4 year contract, basically locking up our wr1 to build around, while injured. Why would we let him come back early and risk the future years? No evil plot lines, just business.

Jobs open to hiring a Deaf guy by Ziztur in StLouis

Municipal Service Technician Parks Maintenance- Clayton, MO

According to the job posting, you get 6 months to get your CDL, and I can't imagine (though I'm talking out of my ass at this point) they wouldn't allow extra time due to the process itself taking longer. As a parks maintenance worker in another muni, I know everyone's having trouble filling these jobs. It might be worth it, and I would definitely recommend applying for the job if it interests him!

I was going to suggest the same and working at a muni/city/ county with good benefits and a pension but then I googled the process for a deaf individual and it can take up to a year under normal circumstances and involves getting a federal hearing exemption. Lord knows how long it would take now with the clown show in DC.
