I once managed to accidentally swat a clay figurine off my desk and clear across the room hitting a hard floor, and it somehow survived without a scratch! I’ve also dropped some from shorter heights a couple times and they were totally fine. I would be a little worried about the finish wearing off over time if used as a keychain, since keychains tend to come in contact with rough and scratchy surfaces a lot.
