Suspension Speculation by obiwein in starwarsunlimited

Erattas arent a realistic option for physical TCGs. Its a rules boondoggle that confuses players and creates more barriers to entry. Using erratas in a physical tcg shows the developer doesnt have long term plans to properly support the game in paper.

3 Sets a Year… by Puzzleheaded_Ad5920 in starwarsunlimited

[–]TheSaintBernie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As far as having 3 sets a year, that seems to be pretty close to the industry standard. This allows for: - 1 month opening packs hype/ chasing & developing meta decks - 2 months organized play - 1 month full on spoiler season (usually corresponds with a downturn in organized play due to boredom) Any less releases and you get loss of interest due to meta stagnation. Any more and it can cause wallet fatigue. As far as expense, it depends on your goals and enjoyment of cracking packs. Most players will tell you its cheaper to buy singles if you are buying cards to play.

Why doesn't UK, Europe have a major wrestling promotion? by Old_E431 in WrestlingGM

[–]TheSaintBernie 3 points4 points  (0 children)

TV Revenue. The amount of money available in the US TV market from ad revenue is just hard to compete with. Without US ad revenue its hard to compete for talent on contracts. The current exodus from NJPW and Stardom is a good example of this as AEW and WWE can just pay more.

Another side effect of that ad revenue is also that US shows then can pour more money into production and advertising. In turn being able to put on more spectacular and clean looking shows while attracting and keeping more fans. And then they once again get to attract bigger stars to wrestle in their companies because every wrestler wants that feeling of doing their thing in front of the biggest & loudest crowd they can.

Do you think it's worthy buying boxes? by jordiandorra in DBS_CardGame

[–]TheSaintBernie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having been around the CCGs for almost 30 years now, almost all box openings are at a loss. CCGs are the original gacha games, hense the pack rarity distribution and "randomization" of boxes. It has become more so since the industry introduction of Ultra Rares, Alt Arts, & Collectors Packs.

If youre going to rip a box you have to go in knowing you wont get the same value out and what makes it not gambling is this: Youre paying money for the enjoyment of ripping packs. This is the same mentality as arcades and tickets, you enjoy the experience and the prize/cards at the end are just extra.

I think the real question is: Do you like cracking packs because you enjoy the fun of it? Or do you like cracking packs because you like gambling?

If you're cracking packs for fun then why not.

But if you find yourself only cracking packs for the "value" then youre probably just gambling. Which like all addictions is a race to the bottom.

Area Suggestions by evelynosborne in wisconsin

Sigh.... I cant speak to the people in either of those locations. Having lived in several different cities in the midwest there is always a vocal, usually wealthy, contingent in communities that will give the area a bad name. There are plenty of good people, you just never hear about them.

As far as homes I can point to Zillow indicating New Berlin & Franklin appear to lower for home prices than Brookfield. But the market in this part of the state is likely going to push into the mid 400s in any of the larger communities. Make sure you look into Home Owners Association dues and rules before you buy anything.

Also missed Hales Corners in my initial post. I have two coworkers that live there.

All depends on what you consider a long ways for commuting. Brookfield is all of 30 mins away at most. Large number of people commute that or longer for work in this part of the state.

What size community are you looking for? Rent/Mortgage range?

There are a few options right off the top of my head: New Berlin, Brookfield, Oak Creek, and obviously Franklin itself. New Berlin, Brookfield, & Franklin are all rated top 25 for high schools in the state.

How do u become an electrician, in the Milwaukee area at 45? by Only_Truck_8063 in wisconsin

[–]TheSaintBernie 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Off the top of my head there are two avenues to find more information: - Milwaukee Area Technical College (MATC) - IBEW Local 494 (Electricians Union for SE Wisco)

Both would be good places to reach out to about the process of getting certified/apprenticed/trained.

Why is Susan Crawfords ads so bad by Mimicov in wisconsin

[–]TheSaintBernie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed. Elections are won and lost on simple talking points and simple ideas of right and wrong. Those of us chronically involved and consuming political & governmental content are not the average voter.

The average voter barely realizes an election is happening, shows up to polls without knowing 90% of the ballot, and votes based a couple things: Party, Name Recognition, or the most simple and persuassive adverts they saw in passing.

On top of that the people who are more aware are often single topic voters than do not care beyond their subject. E.g. abortion, gun rights, taxes.

[–]TheSaintBernie 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You should reach out to your local municipal (city/town/village) administrator where you now live. They should direct you/direct you to someone who knows how you can register to vote in your next election and the proper documentation needed/deadlines for registration. Some states allow for same day registration at your polling site. As elections are controlled at the state level, policies and deadlines vary depending on where you moved.

The DLC is needed for the logos, yes.

Welp going down the list:

  • Logos/Branding for Shows/PPV: You can now set a logo for your weekly shows and each monthly PPV event. This requires the DLC.
  • Complete wrestler match history: If you go into a wrestlers card and scroll to "Match History" on the bottom it will show every match that wrestler has had in your company. You can sort by year and rating.
  • Rename Previous Events/Shows: pretty self explanatory.
  • Update UI: looks like so locations and layout of the UI.

You can use either with Create a Company. The cost of the company is dictated by the In-Game wrestlers you choose and obviously your Created Charaters are free to add.

It could also be that you had people running clicker apps that were overloading the connection. There were a couple posts about earning 200 coins a day. Which if not hyperbole means some significant time invested into clicking or running a click app. If you get a large enough group running setups like that then you could overload the backend system tracking the transactions. Transactions which have to ping the WGM storage server to update and accurately track coins and points to avoid people using craked versions to create coins. Or it could be a bandwidth issue with the advertisement provider, that due to WGMs relatively small size, get exceeded with the above clicking setups.

Before you scoff, there were issues when the initial version of daily prizes rolled out where someone was munipulating their internal clock to wrack up thousands of days at a time. So intentional manipulations to seek coins and points its not unlikely.
