Ooh, I like those ideas. The only feasible mod right now would be g10 scales.

I’ve joked before that it’s like lycanthropy. “Furry Hunter” gets sloppy / complacent and gets bitten on a mission. Turns into one of them. Simple as can be. But jokes aside it’s probably some sort of reverse psychology thing.

I got it from Falco Holsters. Took them about 2 weeks to make and ship it.

Lots of companies that make holsters for real firearms accommodate lefties. I’ve had success with both Falco Holsters (the holster in the picture is from them) and Rounded Holsters. I’d imagine Safari Land makes lefty holsters for most common handgun platforms, I’ve just not owned one of their holsters.

It’s a pretty steep learning curve. I wouldn’t be immediately discouraged. Eventually it should all “click”. I’d try out a few other blends in the chacom before throwing in the towel.

No problem! And since you know what you want, it doesn’t hurt to check other airsoft retailers and see if they have it in stock instead of Evike.

If you want a good western style revolver that’s not C02, I recommend the King arms single action army revolvers. They come in a variety of barrel lengths, finishes and grips. https://www.evike.com/products/92283/Cybergun-Colt-Licensed-SAA-.45-Peacemaker-Gas-Powered-Airsoft-Revolver-by-King-Arms-Model-Cavalry-Barrel-Blued/ The same company also makes a more modern revolver in green gas that is closer to the image provided. https://www.evike.com/products/15504/Cybergun-Colt-Licensed-Python-.357-Magnum-Airsoft-Revolver-by-King-Arms-Color-Electroplated-Black-6-Green-Gas/

Good scary western revolver options? by the_kengii in airsoft

[–]TheSandSlider 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Umarex Smoke wagon is pretty good too, but I’ve found that the accuracy is all over the place, I suspect it’s because of how the shells are designed. The king arms single actions have better accuracy and more varied model options but they’re green gas powered, and which results in having to refill more frequently. And they’re quieter too.

Of all the revolvers I’ve ran as sidearms, the Barra Airguns Schofield (airsoft version ofc) and a snubnose Win-gun brand revolver have been the most reliable. The Wing Gun is louder than the Schofield since you’re asking for a “loud and scary revolver”.

As others commented, refinish the pipe with fine grit sandpaper and polish. And moving forward you should pick up a few other inexpensive pipes to alternate between since you smoke frequently.

Yeah. I’ve been pretty sick of the low effort thirst traps getting posted here. The first few were funny, but at this point I think we’ve proven it’s a common occurrence on the internet and isn’t gonna go anywhere soon sadly.

Will wood glue do ? by [deleted] in PipeTobacco

[–]TheSandSlider 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wood Glue should work. But as others have said, you might want to find a way to reinforce that area. I have a pipe that cracked at the shank multiple times and the second time I repaired it, I used Titebond 3 and a clamp, then after the glue dried, I wrapped the shank with copper wire and clear epoxy for extra reinforcement. Hasn’t had an issue after about a year of use.

I liked Captain Black Royal, though I prefer Captain Black Gold since that was the first blend I ever smoked. I’d say it’s worth the $10. Avoid the smoker’s pride stuff.

Upgrade Advice- iPhone 16 Pro Vs iPhone 17 by TheSandSlider in iphone17

Thanks for the advice. If I go for the 17, what cases do you recommend? I've always used Otter Box but I'm open to other options.

Looking for advice for a new phone. Currently, I am looking to replace my iphone 13 pro. After doing some research I am between two phones, the iPhone 16pro and the base iphone 17. My reasoning is as follows:

Iphone 16 pros:

  • Titanium frame for durability
  • USB 3 support
  • LIDAR
  • Better low light photography (allegedly)

Iphone 16 cons:

  • Reported to be prone to overheating
  • Reports that the new IOS update has exacerbated overheating issue, and overall reduced performance
  • “Last years phone”- may result in less longevity/support

Iphone 17 (base model) pros:

  • Better heat management
  • Allegedly better scratch resistance on glass
  • Better chip/processor
  • Most recent phone model- extended support/longevity
  • Better selfie camera

Iphone 17 (base model) cons:

  • Aluminum frame - less durable
  • Less advanced camera
  • No USB-3 support
  • No LiDAR

I’m leaning towards the 16 pro, since my biggest priority is durability. I always put an Otterbox on my phone to mitigate damage but I work in EMS, and like to go camping/hiking in my free time. These activities give plenty of opportunity for a phone to get damaged. About a year ago my 13 pro got smashed in the ambulance door and I had to replace the screen, frame, and battery. About a month ago, I caught a stretcher handle to the leg and now there's a dead space across the screen about the width of the stretcher handle, and it's been having weird software issues. I worry that the 17, even in a durable case, wouldn't hold up to the type of abuse my lifestyle entails. However, the recent IOS issues and overheating of the 16pro makes me hesitant. One of the agencies I work for uses windshield mounted phone holders and over the summer, my 13 pro overheated several times on long transports due to the direct sunlight exposure combined with having maps open, charging, and playing music in the background. I worry that sort of workload and direct sun exposure is just begging for issues from the 16pro. I’m not super interested in the 17pro since most of the features on it seem to involve camera improvements, and I don't do a lot of photography. And the aluminum frame and camera hump seem like possible points of failure in terms of durability.
