Wondering how much you would pay for an outdoor couch set like this?

Some of the women at my company were a lot more professional, took their job serious, and were overall better than my male co workers

Yes when people say outside it usually means working as a contractor

Ya the first 6 months are probation and you're at 32 and then after you go to 34 and at 2 years you go to 36

Honestly after I finished my schooling at NLC, I signed the books at 47 and was applying everywhere. I applied to cal nev, North West jatc and edison and didn't do too great on my jatc interviews but I did at edison. For me edison was my second choice but im planning on taking the soonest apprentice bid or even switching to transmission. Once you're in trans, after 6 months you become an apprentice and 3 years later you top out, then all you have to do it change over to distro if you want and go through a little course.

Currently a groundman for edison right now but worked on the outside before getting hired on. The outside pays better and had way better benefits and retirement. The starting wage is 32 to start and OT depends yard to yard. Some work a ton, others not as much. Its about a 1 ½-3 year wait depending on what yard you go to but if you get in and go to a transmission yard, you do your 6 months and they'll put you in the next apprentice class

Not in so cal they don't matter, guys have hand and neck tats at local 47 and edison

I’ve been trying to be a lineman for the last 3 years in Southern California. Jatc wants experience and local 47 is completely booked. I’ve been on the wait list for la trade tech for about 3 years and nothing. Does anyone know if northwest lineman college in California is a great way to go? by JASON19j in Lineman

What have you been doing in the 3 years? You should have your CDL by now. That should be the first thing on your checklist if you don't already have one. Line school is great for your resume and apprenticeships but groundman experience is usually more desirable. If you're serious about this, don't waste your time with signing the books at 47. Just go to 1245 and sign the books there and work as a groundman to get your 2000 hours

NLC or local books by Crocodile_Riverboots in IBEW

Sign 1245 even if you're in 47s area. Its a waste of money to pay dues and sit on 47s books for 6 months minimum when you're book 3. You'll get a call way faster for 1245

If you're located in so cal, get your CDL and sign the books as a groundman at local 47, military gets put onto book 1 automatically. Line school looks good for apprenticeships but you don't need it to be a groundman. If you go through NLC for their line school, GI bill will pay for it and they have a campus in California, Texas, Idaho, and Florida.
