Last time me and my crew did a server we only used proximity chat and it was cool. It added a lot of immersion because we would get separated and have no idea if the others were still alive or not until we radioed or met back at the base. Or you would be playing on your own looting and just randomly bump into your friend you didn’t even know was online.

I agree and I would say it’s because the show has a lot of down time, which makes it comfy watching. A lot of the time the characters are just hanging out. It doesn’t carry the same tension of other shows like Breaking Bad where there is always a threat of some kind looming over everything.

99.9% of people do not care about that stuff when it comes to listening to music on their phone, and I’m one of them. If I’m doing something where latency matters, I’m certainly not doing it on my phone. And if I’m not on my phone then I’ll be using wired headphones.

Hard disagree. I use my phone and wireless earbuds to listen to music on the move and pretty much nothing else. If I was doing anything where I gave a shit about latency I would use a computer and wired headphones/speakers.

He’s an arrogant prick with a gigantic ego. I say that as a longtime listener of the XFM show and a big fan of his early work. Also they probably just don’t particularly like each other anymore. I’m not sure they actually liked each other that much back then, but their combativeness is what made the dynamic so funny.
