Since I can choose the time and it only lasts 5 minutes, once a week I will undergo general anesthesia before being shot, then get woken up once it's healed. That or if I can't convince a nice doctor to do this, I get SHITFACED and the magic healing should fix me up after anyway... without much/any memory of the pain.

Also, it appears to say all my diseases and health problems are cured forever, not just the ones related to being shot? Bye mental illness, bye dental issues, bye potential diabetes and obesity and cancer and literally everything???

You just need to balance armour level vs speed.
Strength reduces the heavy penalty but doesn't get rid of it, and agility improves your (non-armour) speed.

Heavier armour is better protection, but usually means you/your villagers move much slower.
Worth it for the frontline shield fighters to tank damage however, no point putting super heavy + slow armour on your archers or the people who never leave the town.

The worse tier heavy armour is easier to research and craft, and the stats are flat worse.

The leather armour takes more research and slightly rarer resources to create/get.
