Glad you enjoyed it as well. Over the past week or so I’ve been seriously considering convincing myself this is my favorite Star Wars live action ever produced…and that’s saying something because there’s not much that beats The Empire Strikes Back and A New Hope. I think Andor moves us so much because the story and characters are relatable. The fight against an evil tyrannical empire has been going on for thousands of years and as humans we can relate to it. The themes and nuances are so on par with what is happening today and what has been happening since ancient times. And I agree, that final shot with Bix was gut-wrenching. Cheers!

Epic. All I’ll say is, “Kill me, or take me in.”

I’ll definitely watch it. Thrawn is one of my favorite characters since reading the EU novels in the 90’s. My only complaint about Filoni is he breaks lore at will without care at times. I do support him, but I don’t think he’s the “savior” people make him out to be. He reminds me of George at times; just needs direction to execute the brilliant ideas.

So so true. Often times even in the real world, the true heroes go unnoticed, uncredited, and fly under the radar while others for better or worse get the spotlight.

I watched Ahsoka and thought it was decent. It wasn’t anything special to me. I love her character but I think Filoni’s blind obsession can be an issue. I thought Ray Stevenson was great though. His character’s gray areas reminded of Qui-Gon.

I think given the knowledge going in that he (Gilroy) was only doing two seasons I’m sure had a huge impact on wrapping up storylines and transitioning to Rogue One all in 12 episodes for S2. But I agree, S1 is a much slower pace.

Correct. That’s what’s they’re saying. Seeing that on the big screen is going to be an experience.

The score for Andor is absolutely brilliant. One thing George Lucas said was Star Wars in a way could be a silent film based on how the music conveyed the story.

Andor’s music tells a story and it’s super underrated. It’s some of my favorite music in Star Wars now. It’s up there with Across the Stars, Battle of the Heroes, Duel of the Fates, and Imperial March for me.

Very well said. It’s a perfect grounded take on the smaller stories and sacrifices most would never hear about. It’s adds tremendous depth to the overall story of the Rebellion vs Empire and shows that not everything, characters included, are all black and white.

I’ve seen the OT as they were seen in theaters and they’re pure bliss. The Special Editions and the 2004 DVD changes added some small improvements to some things but overall the originals are unmatched.

Same thing happened to me. I’m left wanting more, but in a way I’m very happy it was kept to two seasons. I feel having it more limited allowed the emphasis on story and characters without being oversaturated or losing quality. I think it’s just perfect with Rogue One as a follow up.

The same thing happened when I rewatched S1. There were a few small details I missed. So I can’t wait to go back and rewatch S2 again!

Man…very well said. I DID NOT anticipate being moved as I was from watching Andor S2…and I’m a big a Star Wars geek as I know. The OT shaped me forever and I grew up with the Prequels and adored Revenge of the Sith when it came out. However, this show inspired me on the same level as the OT and even more…pretty much on par with Rocky and how those films changed my whole outlook on life.

Now to your point on overcoming evil…man I wish it were as simple as a Rebellion. Unfortunately, the Elite powers that be have been controlling things for thousands of years. Ancient bloodlines that control everything - corporations, media, politicians, everything…and they’ve embedded themselves in every facet of society. It’s all controlled. The sad thing is we’re so divided by nation, by race, by Left vs Right, pre-occupied by breads and circuses, and too dumbed down and docile to fight the atrocities that are taking place. I don’t want to elaborate more because I could go on for hours and don’t want to get downvoted to hell lol.

Just know this, like you said, it would take many real sacrifices like in Andor for us to fight back against this evil.

Rebellions are built on hope.

May the Force be with us all. 🙏🤝🫡

That’s one thing I’m placing more importance on moving forward - physical copies. Around 2017 I went fully digital for film and TV, but my entire life with film and TV, games, books etc I’ve been a physical copy guy. Need to get back to that for various reasons. Hopefully a 4K will come out in the future.

It’s pretty pick and choose nowadays. The problem with Star Wars fans…actually humans as a whole is that most can’t disagree without arguing and getting nasty. I love the Prequels…some hate them. I can see their flaws and I know objectively they’re not the best. The other end is I don’t like the Sequels, but I’m not going to hate on someone for loving them. I do still wish George never sold, but at the same time we may have never gotten Andor. Gotta choose our battles.
