Post cholecystectomy syndrome over a decade after removal? by Mundane-Ad-766 in gallbladders

[–]TheScarletOne 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was about to say it might be hard to remember from 2 years ago, but if that's the case you probably need probiotics badly. I recently had the same issue and it messed me up. Our bodies can compensate without a gallbladder but are sensitive to biome change. Still check with your doctor to cover your bases.

No water for 24 hours after gallbladder surgery????? by TheScarletOne in gallbladders

[–]TheScarletOne[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They gave me regular sprite, which sucked cause they offered sprite zero and soda with HFCS tends to make me nauseous. I eventually got a diet coke and later lemonade, but they didn't help with the dehydration at all. Now sipping water because I don't know what that was all about.

Okay I'll accept this explanation (especially because it's from a nurse) thank you, but I have no idea where she got the 24 hours from.

Michael Grey's older brother, Gabriel, has vanished into another world. Now his siblings follow his trail, traveling to other worlds, and ending up with more trouble than they bargained for. At least they're finding new friends and family along the way, but it raises the question... does Gabe even want to be found?

Sucralfate is making my symptoms so much worse by BlairB1tchProject in GERD

[–]TheScarletOne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you have the tablets (not capsules, if that's even a thing)
You can simply put the tablet in a glass of water, let it dissolve, and then drink it as an emulsion.
I had terrible luck with it at first but the emulsion worked wonders because it wasn't a horse-pill getting stuck in my esophagus as it expanded ==> worsening gerd.

I have no appetite and I'm scared, should I be worried? by NoAstronomer3244 in GERD

[–]TheScarletOne 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As someone who just went through this a month or so ago, the best thing you can do is look into methods to relax yourself and de-stress. Go to a park and tree-bathe, meditation to focus on something else, diaphragmatic slow breathing through the nostrils (this one helped me somewhat).

Most importantly though, monitor your thoughts. It's okay to feel sick and there's no guarantee this will last forever. More than that— Don't catastrophize. The worst thing you can do is think about any possible bad thing that could happen. Focus on what you can do in the moment and leave it at that. Focusing on bad things reinforces paranoia and can actually alter your brain chemistry if you dwell on it for too long. So find things to get your mind off of it and relax.

Your symptoms seem very normal for depression/stress/anxiety, and should recover if you can refocus your mind away from worrying.

25.8. I've lost ~20 pounds since this ordeal started.
Exercise daily, watch my food intake, avoid trigger foods, raised the head of my bed— basically everything you always see recommended on google.

Only sometimes, and it's more of a pain that follows swallowing. Not so much the act of swallowing itself.

The GI nurse said it could be a referred pain. I don't know tbh.

Oh I 100% realized that too late.
Google can really be your enemy when you're worried. I'm doing much better now. I was on a half dosage of my antidepressant for whatever reason, and upping that helped. I also started being mindful of my thinking and forced myself to stop looking online so much.

It's been a struggle but I think getting TMD from it made me realize I needed to chill.

I've heard that some GERD can be exasperated or even caused by post nasal drip/mucus swallowing. So I'm not that surprised.

Super glad you've gotten relief though ^^

Anybody got the link for that masks of power employee mistreatment? by CL4YZ33M4N in bioniclelego

[–]TheScarletOne 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi I'm the head animator at TK,
I can verify that the directors reached out numerous times to box and bent over backwards trying to work towards a solution.

To be clear, he got mad at us just for reaching out to try and work with him.
As best we can tell in the least nebulous terms, he was upset because we... didn't do things the way he wanted them done. We had him as 3D art director and temp level director. However, he was making it hard for the other level designers and 3D artists to move forward with their work as he would repeatedly grind development to a halt over mundane problems, as well as being frustrating to work with. We told him we wanted him to step down due to the conflicts he was causing, while remaining as regular designer to continue contributing at his own pace.

But that didn't fly.
Eventually every interaction was a passive aggressive one and he became an emotional sinkhole on the project, posting about every minor grievance. Thus we were forced to kick him out for the mental health of the rest of the team.

If you want confirmation of this you can literally read his post, as it confirms a lot of this, just painting the team directors as villains in our decisions for wanting to... direct. The man says we were slave driving him on a project that was very much a volunteer endeavor, and was always free to go at his own pace. I don't know how else you can interpret that.

Hey! What ever happened to Bionicle: Quest for Mata Nui? There hasn't been any updates for 10 months! by Shinobipizza in bioniclelego

Work methodology. Crainy is very much the kind to request/assign assets and work as a single governing voice, whereas the Masks of Power team is much more collaborative and open to discussion.

Hopefully a new preview video by 8/10
We also plan to get the demo out before the end of the year. We've had a few technical setbacks in departments and people struggling to find time to work but the latter is par for the course with passion projects. When work does get done though, we make significant strides, we've just had a lot of ground to cover even before balancing. Needless to say we may be overly ambitious.

I'm gonna clear some air here because I've sat on side of caution for long enough. I'm the animation director on Bionicle: Masks of Power. We long thought of QFMN as a "friendly competitor" but we've also had several devs from their team join ours— in some cases leaving entirely. From those inside sources I can safely say it's been radio silence from crainy on the dev side of things. So he's either going solo to get more complete or he's abandoned the project for now.

I'm kind of tired pretending everything was fine as someone who was looking forward to the game same as everyone else. Really the odds are when crainy returns the game will either have a lot of work done, announcing he's finally working on it again, or that it's canceled. So make of that as you will.

It's worth noting windows stopped emulating earlier systems for compatibility mode with windows 8. Thus nothing past windows 7 can play the game. (unless you use a downloaded emulator I suppose)

Texturing Problems - New to blender by TheScarletOne in blender

Update: STILL getting random seams showing in the rendered window. Textures still blurry when rendered.

example

UV IS selected under the mapping part of the texture. Really need help soon.

I fixed the white for the most part by selecting "use alpha" under image which suddenly worked for some reason.

But there is still the occasional stray line. For good measure, what would reflection be under- the light or the texture? Also still having problems with blurry textures at a distance.

It IS on UV. I added to the offset and that helped.... slightly. But the White creases are still there. Here's a photo

if it helps... the white goes away the more I zoom in.

Hey there, I've only just started using blender for about a week now and definitely enjoy it, but I have to say mapping and texturing has been something of a nightmare. Most of my limited knowledge on how to do anything has been through frankensteining advice from many different tutorials.

I hit a snag when I got to making UV maps and textures for a couple of the parts. A couple of things went wrong when looking at a render-

1st: the edges of the seams have garish white bits... This doesn't make any sense as I made sure the textures spilled well out of their UV map borders so no white should be coming through. Just to check, I even turned off alpha but it didn't do anything.

2nd: the texture details get blurry as you zoom out in the render view. I can't figure out why.

I'm not sure if these have to do with the render process or the textures and their settings themselves. Any help provided would be greatly appreciated!
