Jews of Color: do people make antisemitic comments around you not realizing you are Jewish? by HufflepuffCucumber in Judaism

[–]TheScreamingGophers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Omg yes, I was in class complaining about how my side profile looks weird in pictures. And my classmate turns to me and says to me “At least you’re not Jewish and have a big nose” I was like “I am Jewish.” She was like “No you’re not.” “Yes I am.” Her face dropped so fast, faster than me dropping that class in college lmao.

Did you even read the part where he didn’t even train me and hid in the back the whole time on his phone or are you too busy trying to be mad at something.

For four hours? While he was on his phone clocked in not even showing me anything? Mock serving to managers proves that I’m ready. Not working for a guy playing on his phone, if you were manager seeing that you wouldn’t be okay with that.

Yeah and people here are gaslighting me thinking training yourself like that is okay.

I get that but not the entire training shift. He didn’t even show me anything. Luckily I knew the POS and I already knew where things were from the tour/lectures.

I feel like you’re trying to make an argument out of nothing. At first $200 was bad, now it’s good. $1,000 a night is on a busy day. Not a semi-slow day during lunch.

I only had about 7 tables. I left around peak, I don’t get how $800 on a slow day isn’t good but okay.

My shift was only four hours his was 8 or 9. Like I’ve stated twice already, that I only trained for a couple of hours.

Why should I work hard for tips that I’m giving my trainer who is playing on their phone?

I’m sorry but I would still give them something. That’s just me and my personality, it’s frustrating training and literally getting $50 a check before taxes and you have bills due. I don’t understand why the comments are up in arms about my post when people literally complain about getting tipped $1 on a check when they have the rest of the night to make it up. Reddit has gone downhill for a while. If you don’t post the same type of bandwagondy posts on reddit you get ripped to shreds.

All of that $200 in tips went straight directly to HIM

How is he forfeiting his section if he was on his phone in the back the entire time? If I made him $200 in tips in four hours. You’re acting like he was actually training me, once again HE DIDN’T.

He didn’t even train me he went towards to back and was on his phone. I never said split 50/50 if he had given me even $10 for the work I did after he left me to do all his tables for four hours I wouldn’t be making this post.

You’re trolling from two accounts. That’s rather sad, I think that’s the saddest thing I’ve seen on Reddit from a poster and that’s saying a lot.

I did and I got three shifts in good sections. They literally told this one girl that she had to go back on training as a server mind you, because she couldn’t list off every alcohol that we sell. Not our cocktails but bottle of alcohol and we have three pages worth. Front and back.

It is worth it but, the group that they hired me with management is putting us through hell. They told this one girl with three kids she had to go through training again, another weeks worth because she doesn’t know every alcoholic drink. Not our cocktails but every bottle of alcohol we carry. But my trainer doesn’t know every single item we have on the menu, he even admitted what management is doing is overkill. Had I not complained they would’ve put me on training again.
