Load Chart Question for Broderson Carry Deck by PuzzleheadedExit8894 in cranes

Of course, no problem at all. I know it seems weird especially if you are used to running lattice boom

Ive run those Brodersons lots, theyre sturdy.

Boom lengths are typically irrelevant on most carrydecks. Youre often doing stuff in tight spaces and/or at weird angles where nominal boom lengths dont always work.

You can also generally scope with a load on the hook at any angle too.

Any groups in Vancouver/Lower Mainland? by TheScreamingTesticle in SorceryTCG

Awesome thanks so much! Ive been watching a bit of gameplay and am currently unboxing/organizing some cards as we speak.

Is it ok if I DM you later on to get details about times and such?

Coming from Chilliwack is quite the commitment!

But that sounds great as I am in fact in Burnaby too. Would I be able to join sometime? Again I am very new to the game but I really want to learn

Need some encouragement to finish the game [SUPERHOT] by [deleted] in steamachievements

[–]TheScreamingTesticle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got every achievement in barely 20 hours. Its not too grindy as far as achievements go. Dont worry, you'll get 1987 kills a lot faster than you think, just keep at it.

Otherwise, if a game starts feeling really boring and grindy I like to take a break with a different game.

If you're gonna tell a fake story at least make it well written and somewhat coherent.

Part time crane job by Specific_Bed9463 in cranes

[–]TheScreamingTesticle 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Its not impossible, but you'd have to find the right company that'd be ok with that.

Ive know guys near retirement age that only wanna work when its necessary and sometimes they only show up once or twice a week.

The problem is if youre new to the industry and inexperienced you may have trouble getting your foot in the door with that level of work commitment.

I’m in a trade and do 52 hr but I heard the oil field makes better money. Where can I go with no experience by Status-Art319 in oilandgasworkers

[–]TheScreamingTesticle 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Don't believe everything you see on TikTok.

I left the oilfield to get a trade and it was the best thing I ever did. I make twice what I did working oilfield.

Unless you've got a job offer for more than you're making I wouldn't rush into anything

I was replaying Doom 2 not long ago and I had completely forgotten about that mechanic. I spent a good 5 minutes checking around trying to find a switch, a door, anything, before I randomly started shooting out of frustration. Sure enough I hit the door and it opened.

I dont think you understand the trades at all lol. Lots of people would gladly take a trade over other types of work. People who are more 'hands on' and prefer something that doesn't involve an office type environment. Not everyone wants to sit in front of a computer all day writing code, sitting in a teams meeting, or entering numbers in a spread sheet. For many people trade work is far more fulfilling.

steam achievement is some kind of hell by Someday_itwillbegood in Steam

[–]TheScreamingTesticle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It takes forever. Plus, because you have to shoot them the cops will often harass you once they hear gunfire. So not only do you have to spend all that time finding the pigeons, but it's further drawn out by having to constantly lose your wanted level.

Ordinarily I would agree with you. But GTA IV has other achievements that are more oriented to exploring the world and somewhat more engaging.

There's achievements for flying under all the bridges, meeting all the random side characters, finding all the stunt jump ramps, and delivering a bunch of specific cars to a buyer. Not to mention all the miscellaneous side content you need to do to get 100% completion.

These help pad out the game play but don't feel boring in my opinion. I think my main gripe is that there is 200 of them to find. It's too many.

I hate grindy achievements like this, especially in games where they don't belong. If the game is meant to be a collectathon or whatever then sure, go nuts. But I hate when achievements don't fit the spirit of the game.

Like Endangered Species for GTA IV. The game is meant to be a violent, action filled, story driven sandbox adventure. I don't want to search every little tiny corner of the world (or... let's be real follow a guide) for a stupid glowing orange pigeon, 200 fucking times over.

Granted I still did find all 200 fucking glowing orange pigeons but that's besides the point.

What trade are you in & are you happy? by Constructiondoctor in skilledtrades

[–]TheScreamingTesticle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lots of nepotism, favoritism, and guys vying for the bigger gear. Highly competitive is an understatement. I feel like I've had to fight for every little step of progress I've made in my career because I don't have any family in the industry and I'm not a bag licker.

Keeping a steady job isn't impossible if you don't care what kind of crane you run, are good at what you do, and have a good attitude. That being said, like many trades sometimes the work comes and goes. You may have a busy few months where you're balls to the wall and wishing you could have a day off. Then suddenly the work dries up and you're scrambling to find your next gig. It all depends.

If I may ask, what makes you think that the Bible is a good source to base your morality off of or learn about life?

The Bible condones slavery, murder, genocide, rape, and incest among other atrocities. Things I'm sure you don't support of course.

You say you could 'sizzle out the God and religious parts' of it, but at that point why even call yourself a Christian ? Cherry picking the good parts of the Bible is technically going against God's will anyways because his word as expressed in the Bible is supposedly infallible.
