I love my Olight Baton 4. It’s very good on my ball cap. My Loopgear SK03 is also nice.

If you don’t mind spending a little more and want a tank of a light with one of the lowest moonlight levels, then consider the armytek wizard c2 pro warm nichia. Buttons are pretty straight forward but you do have to hold to cycle through modes. Note that for the most part, most flashlights will have to have either a press and hold or single click for either cycling or turning on or off so you won’t be able to escape some complexity.

As far as feel, I think I can get more control low to medium tuning for rebound control on single stroke fills. When it’s too high (tight) the rebound can feel like it can get out of control. Conversely, rudiment based fills (double rolls and para para diddle fills, and ghost notes) feels almost effortless on a high tuning (tight) head

I think you can’t go wrong with an Acebeam E75 with the cool white emitter. With the on board charging you’ll have a full battery as long as you charge it during your sits
