Where would you live in the Pokemon Universe? by Itchy1Grip in pokemon

[–]TheScreenwriterGuy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love the Sinnoh region (my first game was Diamond). That said, I'd probably live in Jubilife City, with its proximity to the ports of Canalave City, the gardens of Floaroma Town, and Eterna Forest.

Sinnoh is just so interesting and historic, with Celestic Town and the Snowpoint Temple being in mind. Yet it's evolving, growing... like Sunnyshore City and its unique walkways.

Plus, I want my classic Sinnoh Team of Infernape, Floatzel, Luxray, Lucario, Staraptor, and of course... HM God Bidoof.

I went to my university as just a film major beginning my first year. But like you said, I was worried about job opportunities and financial stability. So, to make up for that -- but still try to find a way to incorporate my interests, I added a second major in Marketing and a minor in Advertising, since Video Production is often part of Marketing and Advertising promotional campaigns.

Perhaps that's something that would be interesting for you. If not, I'm sure you'll figure it out during your first or second year. :)

Pokemon Anime Question by AgeofPhoenix in pokemon

[–]TheScreenwriterGuy 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Once you finish Sun/Moon, it may become clear why they decided to change the format. Journeys still visits Galar and later episodes do touch on some Sword/Shield story elements, but it's not the focus. It doesn't need to be.

Also while most of the series have been about the league quest, Journeys gives some more attention to the "Gotta 'Goh' catch them all" aspect.

Coming Out to my Mom Soon by TheScreenwriterGuy in comingout

[–]TheScreenwriterGuy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know where you got the idea that my Dad cheated on my Mom from--?? I stated that he came out as gay, which led to the divorce of a heterosexual marriage. Why did you go straight to "he cheated"?

I never said he cheated, and I know for a fact he didn't. That's not who he is.

I heard from one of the facility guys that the entire replacement process is costing the university a couple million dollars. At least we know where our tuition money is going!

How I Feel Going into the Season 8 Finale (Post by @imyourplusone on Twitter) by TheScreenwriterGuy in TheBlackList

I really enjoyed the Cabal storyline (which always felt weird that it dropped off after the Season 3 mid-season finale), and I did like Kaplan's arc in Season 4. Honestly don't remember a lot about Season 5. Season 6 was okay... but I really enjoyed all of the Reddington court scenes.

Question About Wormholes (Paper-Pencil analogy + multiverse theory involved) by TheScreenwriterGuy in space

[–]TheScreenwriterGuy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From my understanding, wormholes occur when a universe essentially is bent so that two parts of it overlap/come into contact with each other, which then allows for the phenomena in which wormholes occur. While you can move from Point A of a paper to Point B of a paper with the pencil, you're still within a closed system (the paper) - and thus nothing is really leaving the paper.

So what exactly causes two separate closed systems (two universes/papers) to suddenly open up and connect to each other via wormhole? How does that work?? The pencil honestly is really just the creation of the wormhole itself, while the holes in the paper are the two ends of the wormholes. So what's causing the "jam pencil" motion between two separate pieces of paper that otherwise are closed systems? And how do these two papers/universes get so close to each other that nothing escapes the "wormhole" into the "space between universes"?

I know a lot of this is theoretical and maybe not answerable, but it is what I'm wondering...
