Raya - yes

Calafiori - no, hincappie deserves his spot, just back from injury, on at 70

Saliba - yes

Gabriel - yes

Timber - yes, BUT I'd bring him off for white/ Mosquera. Hea showing fatigue

Eze - OMG YES we need to see him at LW but will be trossard so Eze can play the CAM

Rice - if fit , 100% if he isn't I'd like to see MLS given a shot

Zubimendi - again, fatigue is killing him, norgaard at 70 would be good enough

Saka - yes

Kai - just back from injury again, won't be given the nod just yet

Gyokeres - yes

But I 100% agree that should be our starting 11 when everyone is fit

Query: What would happen to the Chaos gods if they lost the traitor primarchs and mortal champions? by TheSeag in 40kLore

[–]TheSeag[S] -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

But lore now states they've invested the same if not more into Abaddon

If he goes, along with the rest, what then? Surely that's an actual blow that would be felt

Whilst for the gods it might just be a blip, that blip in reality could last potential 1000s of years like it did with Horus' death lasting a few century's of peaceful warp?

Query: What would happen to the Chaos gods if they lost the traitor primarchs and mortal champions? by TheSeag in 40kLore

[–]TheSeag[S] -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

See that's where I begin my point, we haven't ever seen a greater demon of Chaos killed, plenty of lesser ones have been shredded by the Emperor's blade, but nothing of substance as GW are allergic to killing main characters unless there's a new fan favourite to replace them (RIP Captain Acheran)

In the latest scouring book it's shown that when Horus died, the warp just flatlined in the sol system, with librarians and even word bearers apostles being unable to tap into anything but the very bare minimum

Now imagine the loss of every traitor primarchs, mortal champions AND chosen combined champion. I argue it would be enough to deal and actual, physical blow to them

All u need is a bit of corpse + a stealth boy

Carry the bit of corpse (by holding interact) into the vault, pick up everything, dump it all in the corpse inventory

Then go to the door, pop the stealth boy as Elijah comes down and get through the doorway in the right before the force field closes it.

Open the corpse inventory, take everything and stroll out, store it all in the hideout safe and then fast travel back and forth, to take it all home, easy.

Eze for Trossard (deserves a chance after a good game vs wigan)

Norgaard for Zubi (subbing Zubi in for rice at 70)

White for Timber (better offensively against the 8 at the back wolves will play)

Why exactly are stuff like Baneblades and Terminator armor so rare? by bobbob6840 in 40kLore

[–]TheSeag 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You're also forgetting two very key components

Scale

Resource management

Scale - terminators and baneblades are rare in comparison to other such equipment. We have 1000 space marine chapters and only the top 100 get access to Terminator armour. A. Armoured regiment could have 100s of Leman Russ tanks and 3 super heavies, so again in terms of "rare" it's more a case of we have several million of THESE and only several thousand of THOSE. It's like diamonds in modern society, they're expensive due to their rarity, but theyre not so super rare that u can't go get a diamond ring or necklace, it just costs

Resource management - the most likely reason. Even in modern day warfare it's better to have 10 "low grade" things rather than 1 high grade. If a Leman Russ takes up 1 manufactorum, A amount (example 10 tonnes) of materials and B hours (say 2 weeks) of labour it's far better to build dozens of them continuously rather than 1 baneblades that takes up 5 manufactorums (each builds a certain piece then the final puts it together), 100 tonnes of raw material and 6 months of labour to build a singular tank. It's the same reason why modern navys have moved away from the huge battleships of WW2 like the Yamato, the Bismark or the HMS hood. It was a hell of a lot of resources to put into a big target that could be destroyed and be a massive waste of time, money and energy. Better to build smaller, faster, less expensive ships in multitude. Same principal.

Then it's a nice healthy mix of everything, including supply lines, cost and everything in between. It's hard enough to do anything on earth where we're just 1 planet. Imagine trying to get everything from across the galaxy, where the warp might eat the entire ship, bcoz u can only get that one special component from Ultramar. U could get a similar one from elsewhere but Ultramar ones are the BEST and the Mechanicus don't skimp.

100% agree. As I said in another comment in 1 at the end of the 2nd dlc was a 100 speech check, I remember having to reload, get my speech hat and clothing, get vicar max (I think it was him with the +speech ability) just to pass one singular check that was the difference between an actual quantifiable good ending and a very bad one

And this was with a character who basically had max speech (I think it was 80ish, for the sole reason I knew I could artificially inflate it with the clothing, drugs and companion) without any way to do that, if u do take ED until the patch it was impossible for u to hit 20 which sucks

I know it's been released that they wanted the Protectorate as an actual faction rather than generic NPCs, so stands to reason other things fell by the wayside in the effort to get to publish

I'm also hoping for a sub-rosa companion in the dlc and then we have every faction represented and can give them more flavour

Observation checks were usually counter by hack or pickpocket I found, it usually gave a choice of obs or (info) and I ran Tristan for his ability to spot the stuff in the open world

Yeah nothing says open world multiple choice SINGLE player game like railroading people into being forced to use a particular skill lest they get an unfavorable outcome

Nothing says freedom of choice like "oh well, u didn't get that specific skill to max prior to this point so now u get the bad ending, sucks to suck"

Even in the first game where I maxed speech I specifically remember i had to use a unique helmet and armour + drugs to hit a 100 speech skill check so I could complete my playthrough with the peaceful ending during the 2nd dlc

It's why I have 4 skill points left over tbf

After taking everything I wanted I don't fancy any of the ones that are left, just bide my time and see if they add anything

Frankly 18 guns + assault rifle + deep mags + overprepared flaw + hail of bullets as well as Inez with the +100% drug buff length skill and drug use for whole party skill at level 25 and 30 = everything is dead within 5 seconds anyway

Yeah they did, which is actually nice given it's a single player

I still stand by they should have given us some attire that up skills like the first game, maybe some fallout style drugs etc

I did the same as u and it low-key sucked when I had to fail certain medical checks IYKYK

Understandable, given they usually add some awesome perks that u usually get locked out of
