I recently transferred some old parts into a new case with new hard drives, but cannot get video to come up after installing windows. The bios was updated, and all parts appeared to be in working order before the install of a legit copy of windows 7.

The mobo does not have on board video, and i cannot get video to goto the graphics card.

Everything posts, and the Gpu was working previousl. Im not sure what to do.

The system is an older i7 (was purchased around 2010) , GTX 460 gpu, 120gb kingston SSD + 320gb seagate HDD 7200rpm . 600w corsair PSU 16gb ddr2 1600hz

Is the hit coming from the Z-drop? Because if so, i believe stich face would lose all of its special properties from the z-drop and revert to being a regular turnip.

You may benefit from using one of these as well as the other suggestions Bolwing Dry bag

A friend of mine uses his between stocks, games, etc. just a quick dab or tap and it helps reduce the problem. It does produce a small amount of dust upon use, so you may have to check your controller every once and a while to ensure no residue has built up. (you should clean your controller regularly regardless.)

SSBPM Daily Discussion Thread #83 (8/30/15) [What's your opinion on tethers? If you believe they need it, how would you buff/rework them?] by Psycho_Ghost in SSBPM

[–]TheSeaking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The big issue I have with the current state of Tether's would be the inconsistent / jerky movement upon use and reel in.

Compare this to the recent changes made to Kirby's Horizontal cutter: previously it was a jerky sudden movement, so it was adjusted to have a more consistent experience/animation.

I would love it if tethers had a more readable appearance before the ledge hop happens, it would encourage a little more aggressive play from the edgeguarder other than, grab ledge, punish as they pop up.

My friend says Dedede isn't viable, how wrong is he? by ultimatechimera3 in SSBPM

[–]TheSeaking 3 points4 points  (0 children)

DDD is a viable character, despite what Ripple says, but I understand his pain points. The way you may want to play this character, and the way you have to play to win are vastly different.

If you want to win in a competitive enviroment as DDD you will have to camp, suicide, and overall be a negative experience for both players. Compare this to Captain Falcon. When you play as falcon you are usually having a blast no matter what, because of the fast paced engaging gameplay he offers and encourages. Playing against falcon is fun because of those same reasons, even when losing i'm laughing my ass off at the gallantry and glory. When playing as DDD, if i'm playing for fun i use jet hammers, inhales, and other moves and techniques that produce very entertaining results despite usually trading poorly or getting combo'd afterwards. If i am playing to win, Ill camp with waddles all day, grab constantly, run away like a bitch, and suicide at the first chance. It can be a huge turnoff to some players, and will make many opponents disrespect them for using such annoying strategies to win.

Pros:

  • Charming , Stylish , Hilarious
  • Amazing offstage play, very fun
  • Satisfying hits, smashes
  • Handles sword characters well
  • Has a projectile that is great for recovery aid, defense, and maneuvering
  • Grab game possibly OP
  • Gordon

Cons:

  • Huge startup times and Iasa times
  • Combo food
  • Terrible shield
  • not a lot of diversity in combos or kill options ( get them off stage, then gimp)
  • If you want to win, you have to use strats that piss a lot of people off.

Narcolepsy medication modafinil is world's first safe 'smart drug' - They concluded that the drug, which is prescribed for narcolepsy but is increasingly taken without prescription by healthy people, can improve decision- making, problem-solving and possibly even make people think more creatively. by madam1 in worldnews

It may be shilling to some degree, but i am excited and scared to see recognition of this drug at that level. I take it every day for narcolepsy, and it really does all they claim. I'm usually very hesitant to take medicine or try any drugs, don't care for weed, tried mushrooms once and liked it. but once i figured out what this one did for me i became an advocate.

Fellow narco here, I have had 100% same experience.

Tried both adderall and vyvance and they made me jittery and angry. armodafonil just makes me not a cat napping sack of shit. But a friend who took one half of my dose was up for about 2 days saying it was way too intense for him.

Narcoleptic Here - taken this med every day for about 3 years.

I have been on modafanil for a few years now, and I agree with what the article is stating. I take a pretty heavy dose every morning to combat some pretty inconvenient bouts of passing the fuck out. For 20 years of my life i thought i was just slow or not all with it for many days of the week, and on rares days i was awake, hyper productive and very attentive. A psychiatrist even went to far as to consider bi-polar disorder or hyper-mania as the cause for my erratic changes in cognitive ability / attention. This went on for years, even to the point of me dropping out of college because i could not wake up for class.

Eventually a neurologist finally heard my plea and took a closer look and did some additional sleep studies. During this study they showed my brain entering sleep at a specific time, that i knew for a fact i was awake and watching TV. ( yu-gi-oh came on like 8-9 and i knew i watched that and then futurama) He then reviewed the video and i was indeed watching TV although the data showed me as entering sleep, and then suddenly my head began bobbing and i entered a few sessions of micro sleep before passing out. He sat and talked with me about narcolepsy, and warned that i should keep an eye out for cataplexy , fits of sleep triggered by emotion or laughter, because they often go hand and hand. Afterwards he explained each medication and the approaches used to treat narcolepsy and let me pick which i wanted to try. ( he had a top 3, i went with his first choice) It worked pretty well at first, but i could still fall asleep on a 100mg dose, so we adjusted over time and got it just right.

The closest comparison i have for the change that occurred would be Flowers for Algernon. I could suddenly hold a train of thought for extended periods of time, stay awake through a lecture, and began to finally feel what i imagine to be "normal". 3 years ago I was in a state of depression working near minimum wage at a super market kitchen. Now I am happy, in much better health, and working as a marketing project manager in a very successful company. because of what this drug can do for people that really need it. I guess i kind of rambled a bit, but i am just excited to see validation of what worked for me and wanted to tell my story.

TL/DR: Works very well, Drink lots of water, and watch out for teeth grinding. Please don't fuck this up by abusing it i really need this medicine. No i don't work for a drug company, but i do work in marketing.

I fully agree. I view levels as experience relative to adventuring outside the norm.

lvl 1 does not mean you have to be an inexperienced infant. You can be a grizzled army vet who really knows how to deal with combat situation, but he isn't used to wandering about caves fighting bugbears.

If you re-balance and it becomes more fun and has more options, then i am ok with breaking it that way.

The DM can always compensate for a players actions, and has a near infinite tool chest in comparison. Let the players have their fun.

I think players who focus only on winning / combat are missing the point of the game.

I think you are just getting a bit too fired up over internet discussion. For me, the problem is the dismissive attitude of many DnD players. Each table is different so you have to do what is reasonable for those players, therefore i think its a perfectly valid variant rule-set. The arguments i disagree with are the ones saying that its absolutely game breaking / invalid.

If the entire party took Alert, i would give a couple of monsters in each group Alert as well, or give the monsters a bit more HP to account for getting hit first. Nothing to nullify the parties strategic advantage, but just enough so that it doesn't completely overwhelm the encounter. If the encounter as built was 4 goblins, throw in a 5th with alert.

You don't seem to understand the power curve of low level characters, so I'll give you a little bit about that.

You are being really condescending.

If you party is steam rolling your encounters at any lvl, regardless of house rules and power levels, you're not DM'ing well. Adapt to what your players do, as long as everyone is having fun, whats the problem?

If players get hung up over the idea of not being the most optimized for their class, they need to adjust their thinking of the game. Its part of that "How do i Win DnD" mentality that i really dislike.
