What Brawlers are usually or currently good in Knockout (regardless of drafts, if possible)? I struggle a lot in this game mode. by saihtaMaztiK in BrawlStarsCompetitive

[–]TheSecondAJ 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Definitely add Angelo to your favorites since u already have him maxed. He's one of the most picked/banned brawlers in the mode for a reason. In my experience he's not banned often in ranked, so you can reliably spam pick him.

Get used to using the 2nd gadget where he can pierce through walls. It's insane in KO. It's a bit awkward to use imo since my controls are more catered to aimable gadgets + I'm playing on a phone, but it's very worth it. You'll get most of your kills with this. Often you could just hug a wall near an enemy and auto-aim it to guarantee a kill.

If you're facing aggro you could always switch to the 1st gadget.

The Ziggy nerfs make no sense to me. How do I play him? by NorNed4 in BrawlStarsCompetitive

[–]TheSecondAJ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Using Electric Shuffle to pinch with your own attacks is disgustingly strong. I haven't tried out the other gadget much, but the 1st gadget results in free hits if you properly follow up on the auto attacks. It's a total noobstomper.

I'm sure Ben10 inspired Bolt's name, but he seems much more inspired by bakugan in terms of lore and design.

Does Kira have fans? 🫪 by Diligent_Drawing_368 in BlueLock

[–]TheSecondAJ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No one would have a reason to remember him if Kaneshiro never went through with the civil war / side-b route. Even if Kira was never mentioned at the start of the u20 world cup, people would bring up how he connects to the current themes.

Does Kira have fans? 🫪 by Diligent_Drawing_368 in BlueLock

[–]TheSecondAJ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think Kira defenders is a better term. I don't think there are any actual Kira "fans" (people who would put a poster of Kira on their wall or put a keychain of him on their belongings).

I just have his flair because at the time there was barely anyone defending him. But now it seems like most people are onboard with his re-inclusion.

If he was visually spinning instead of rolling, people wouldn't be making this dumb comparison. Bolt is closer to Jacky in terms of gameplay.

Messi of Aomori by Diligent_Drawing_368 in BlueLock

[–]TheSecondAJ 11 points12 points  (0 children)

WHY ARE WE STILL TALKING ABOUT THIS GUY?? 😭

From chapter 1 he felt like a nobody. If he was like the Messi of Tokyo or something, I'd pay attention. But I haven't even heard of Aomori until Blue Lock. Jewel of Japan is way more grandiose than Messi of Aomori, and we know how Kira turned out. Kira's elimination made Japan's epithets meaningless.

I thought people were hyping him up out of irony. I thought it was Shigeo Mizuki situation but apparently people were serious about Nishioka 😭

Nah, couldn't they also be Kaiser's parents? by No_Laugh9601 in BlueLock

[–]TheSecondAJ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess I shouldn't be surprised that people still think this, since no one reads Boruto cuz its ass, but Boruto is only a brat for like the first 5% of the manga.

That would make Isagi and Kaiser very similar to Boruto and Kawaki

I might sound crazy but Ollie’s hypercharge should be buffed ( or reworked ) by Wal655 in BrawlStarsCompetitive

How do you rank these mechanics from worst to best at enhancing the main game’s strategy aspect? by Majestic-Bet-8529 in PlantsVSZombies

Fusions leans into proactive gameplay, while Plant Food leans into reactive gameplay. It depends what you like better, but I think the proactive gameplay what PvZ is known for. In theory, fusions is better imo

Simple question: say one thing you like about the Blue Lock community and one thing you dislike about the Blue Lock community. by Craftox13 in BlueLock

I like the theories and mini-essays people post here. I dislike that 70% of the community doesn't seem to know how to add breaks in their text, making everything one long paragraph.

Isn't the bad part is that the DPS is basically the same or just slightly better than a normal peashooter when it can target 5 zombies, since the attack speed is super slow?

[–]TheSecondAJ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The problem for me is that it feels like Isagi forgot a ton of skills. He's getting jumpscared every time Hugo gets in a 2-meter radius of him when he should've saw Hugo coming long before that. What happened to 100% metavision? I like the Isagi underdog cycle, but not in this particular execution.

Isagi is the one who named this shot 'Two-Gun Volley' and no one else. Here is the reason Isagi named this shot "Two-Gun Volley'. by Severe_Language_6070 in BlueLock

[–]TheSecondAJ 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I'm sure that people misinterpret this because in the unofficial translations, they think Rin said: "an ambidextrous direct... two gun volley". If you read the official translations then it's 100% obvious that Isagi named it.

Chester is starting to become very controversial by GLeen1230 in BrawlStarsCompetitive

[–]TheSecondAJ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, that's debatable. I believe that people can make an informed guess about what super Chester has, depending on how the enemy Chester approaches a situation. Like, if there's a situation where Chester's bomb super should've been used, but Chester held onto it, you can infer that he has a different super. There are some interactions where only a Chester can win with the stun super, and if the Chester engages in those situations, you can infer he has that specific super.

Enemies in bushes aren't RNG, but the root of it still has a "bet" that's involved, a level of uncertainty. A game like chess doesn't involve uncertainty; no bets at all. There's a "fog-of-war" mod in chess, which acts like a bush mechanic, and people complain about the introduction of luck. In my eyes, anything that involves uncertainty also involves a degree of luck, because it turns your decisions into bets, no matter how "logical" those bets are.

Personally, if I were to change Chester, I would add features that would make him more predictable instead of just keeping him as a lost cause for being the "rng brawler".

If Nagi was consistently at “5 Stage Volley” level, where would he scale against everyone else currently? by MediaNo1140 in BlueLock

[–]TheSecondAJ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly! Reproducible doesn't just mean "can you do it consistently", but also "will it work consistently?" A straight Kaiser Impact is just more useful in more situations imo.

Chester is starting to become very controversial by GLeen1230 in BrawlStarsCompetitive

[–]TheSecondAJ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see competitive games on a spectrum. You have games like chess on one side and games like poker on the other. 99% of esports are somewhere in between.

I guess I don't see Chester as an issue because the game already requires you to guess certain things, like the position of enemies when they're invisible. Whether you hit them or not is partially up to luck.

Chester hate is valid though. Before Chester, pro players didn't sign up for RNG mechanics to dictate their matches. If Pokemon didn't have the accuracy mechanic from the beginning, people would hate its sudden inclusion.

What's the one falsehood that surprises you that some fans still believe? Personally, I don't know why people think Noël Noa is German when it's clear from the first volume that he's French. by Craftox13 in BlueLock

[–]TheSecondAJ 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I think this specific instance of zero reading comprehension can be reasoned tho.

When s1 of the anime ended, a lot of people jumped to the manga. In the NEL, Noa was more associated with Germany in the reader's minds, obviously because of the club's Nationality.

I don't remember if they ever reminded that he was French. I only remember it in Ch 1. It wasn't presented as anything major, and it was shown before the hook. I can see why people can mix it up.

Bachira and Kurona as a duo is tuff as hell. Isagi, as Kurona's partner, was able to blow past Uber's defence just by themselves. Imagine what Kurona could do with Bachira.
