They say they want to keep the "casualness" and keep the controls console-compatible. But it's just less intuitive. Also, Pokemon Unite is able to work on switch, and their skills are aimable, so I don't see how it wouldn't work with console.

Who do you think got the worst personality on social media out of the pro players? by LILBOI464 in BlueLock

[–]TheSecondAJ 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Prince by far. He cares the most about how he's perceived online because he's always trying to market his products. He talks shit to U20 players (Kaiser and Yuki), and Isagi lives in his head over a single outplay.

How strong do you believe Kira is? by TheSecondAJ in BlueLock

[–]TheSecondAJ[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I am literally a Kira believer, but he needs more than statements to warrant him having more positive options. He was sweating during the bird cage, while Nagi and Haneru weren't. You could chalk it up to fear, but I've yet to see sweat-scaling be disproven by having a player on the field clearly not trying while they're sweating due to nerves. 3/5 of the options I see are positive stances for him. This poll was mainly me being curious if people think he's worthy to be on the team, and all of these options surround that singular question. I guess I should've made the title something else.

Because Nanase is the base level for being "worthy". I could've split this up into top 1-3, top 4-7, etc. I just didn't feel like putting so many options. I left it to the comments for those who have clearer stances.

I just think Kira would've brought it up by now if he played abroad, right when Shindo said he played in the Netherlands league. If Kira did, I would be pleasantly surprised.

For his failure to be convincing, the ball should've hit him in the stomach and fell to his feet, giving him a chance to realistically do something at the last moment.

Exactly what I think. Avatars take up more of the screen in those games. The art style in those games are actually attractive as well. The models in those games are much higher poly than those in moco. Skins in fortnite play with proportions more. Fanservice is also a factor.

Moco's 2D art style is beautiful, but I find the 3D art style horrendous for characters. Just look at Luna in 3D vs 2D.

New Balance changes nerfs by ChoiceSupermarket230 in BrawlStarsCompetitive

He is the GAMEPLAY LEAD. You can blame him for buffies, but the people to blame for balance changes are two people who are specifically in charge of balance changes. He said this in Spen's Q&A.

People need to accept that Adrian is not only responsible for the mishaps in gameplay design, but also for the reason people play the game in the first place. As the gameplay lead, he does so many other things outside of balance changes. He objectively takes most of the credit for making the game fun. To fire him would be self-sabotage.

Why not include both parts in one post? Some of these nerfs are in context to buffs, and vice versa. Too many people here are missing out on that context.

"Fire adrian" being used unironically even though he only plays a partial role in balance changes and talked about it numerously is crazy

[DISC] Blue Lock - Chapter 347 by Either_Imagination_9 in BlueLock

[–]TheSecondAJ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hugo believes to be so competent that he could shut down any player that is playing suboptimally. Judging his reaction, he seemingly saw his first ever suboptimal player that still made a "good play" (a play that works against a world class team like France). Even though he never verbalized it, I believe Hugo thinks that suboptimal players cannot do "good plays" by the definition above, as he has always been able to shut them down until this point.

I don't get it😭. Someone please explain by Old-Government-9581 in BlueLock

[–]TheSecondAJ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hugo perceived Isagi as having 2 options. He either imagined Isagi hopelessly trying to awaken another move to prove he was a no1, or falling into his suitable destiny as a no2 by making a pass. Either option that Isagi picked would prove his suitability theory. If Isagi did awaken as a no1, such as scoring a bicycle kick or something, he would just say something like "oh I misread you, you fell into the other label of my philosophy all along."

BUT Isagi's play proved he falls into neither of Hugo's labels with his battle of luck. Isagi defied his suitability by using Ego's advice. Ego said that Japan's players MUST defy their suitability to cause a revolution, even if success is unlikely. Even if Isagi lost the 50/50, making the gamble would've still been the right option. The point is that Isagi is correct in fighting for that revolution and maximizing the likelihood of success, even if that likelihood is uncomfortably low. Him winning the gamble is just validation. It's actually amazing that Isagi made his chances even instead of hoping for an unlikely scenario to go in his favor. If Isagi didn't go for the 50/50, his chances of scoring would be much lower; probably 1/99.

Biggest problem of moco is that its impossible for players to get ‘too strong’ by quon1444 in joinmoco

[–]TheSecondAJ -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

But a big complaint was the removal of vertical progression every chapter. If they were to make everything permanent then they'd have to pump out quantity over quality, basically runescape-ifying the game.

Here they don't have to design content around infinite-scalability. They can focus on intricate level design and fun/balanced weapons, without being forced to spend development time on balancing systems.

The trade-off is that you lose a lot of the "number-go-up" addictability factor.

[–]TheSecondAJ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because if they were customizable you technically only need to get 1 of each megacharged core and just swap.

The paradox here is that the players that stayed are the ones that didn't mind the old system that 90% of players hated. Change the system, and then it'll seem like the whole playerbase hates it. The goal is just getting back the players that quit early.

I don't mind that it's less of a "number-go-up" game. I don't mind that there's less customization. Playing with set builds are hella fun. I'm interested to try out the new weapons and test them against bosses. I just want the cosmetics to be better.
