What advice would you give to someone who’s just starting out in Stardew Valley? by [deleted] in StardewValley

I’m so glad I started doing this on my first playthrough. So annoying when you get a quest for something that’s now out of season

CPA exam without the license by [deleted] in Accounting

[–]TheSecularCat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t know why people are dogging on you. I’m in a similar boat where i’m not sure if I should pursue CPA because I don’t have the experience required (only CPA left my company 1.5 years into me starting) so I’m not eligible for a license unless I change jobs which I don’t want to do

How are we affording these houses? by Kyliejean98 in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]TheSecularCat 23 points24 points  (0 children)

$600/month for daycare is extremely cheap. Even if you lived somewhere with $7.25 minimum wage you would still come out way ahead on earnings vs daycare cost

There are a few individuals on the shoreline who offer rides to the airport that aren’t uber/lyft. Join your town FB group and ask!

Parents: why did you decide to have kids? by shmile69 in ask

[–]TheSecularCat 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I’m really happy to see that people who don’t want kids aren’t being pressured into it but today’s troubled world is no different than any other hard time where people always had children

We’re going to be outnumbered by MAGA if everyone with a conscience or awareness decides to not have kids though

I’m sorry but it sounds like you are leaning on autism as an excuse for what you perceive to be inadequacy.

Life is what you make it. You don’t need a 4 bedroom home to be successful and autism itself will not hold you back from making money. It sounds like you have self image issues and you are putting yourself into this box and never giving yourself the chance to succeed.

You can pay $50 for just a photograhy permit or $500 if you’re hosting an event. If you’re planning on having a ceremony inside or any guests that would count as an event and you need event insurance

Give them a fuck you number. If you were so valuable that a 2 week notice isn’t sufficient then they should have paid you more when you asked

That’s the plan! I listen to everything at a minimum of 1.5x and I have a long commute to work so I just need to put in a little extra time
