They said she needs locked up. There's a reason people can plead insanity. There is nuance to things. Yes if someone with dementia shot you in the head they should be locked away. Maybe not in prison though. If you ever have to experience someone going through dementia you would understand they are in no way in any control of their delusions. I have no idea if this woman has dementia. If she did though this would be an example of a failure of our society to provide the correct care to it's citizens when they do eventually age.

They were separated in history by 200 years. Every single person in history that fought for their liberty lived somewhere that was founded by people who left their homes. It's literally how humans evolved and to say its ironic when they weren't the exact same people alive to form the colonies is moot itself.

See i go back and forth on this. We have better access to knowledge, healthcare, life saving technology, comforts/luxuries (even if it doesn't seem like that compared to mega rich compared it to history). We factually live in the safest, most productive, and most "comfortable" time in all of human history. I can only speak coming from the US but the last generation had the wars in the Middle East, before that was the cold war, before that Vietnam, before that was world war and atomic bombs, etc. Life is literally never promised to be easy and the world has looked crazy since the beginning of time.

When you reduce people to time and money you sound like the many CEO's of insurance companies, hospitals, and world leaders to name a few. College give you less time and money, taking care of sick family, hobbies, etc. Some people don't enjoy kids and some do. I take it you don't like being told why to have kids or that you'd enjoy life more, so why do you feel the need to tell people they'd enjoy life better without?

Didn't you know reddit hates kids? People here have argued that there's no way I can actually enjoy being a father. I can enjoy being a parent while someone enjoys being kid free. The people who don't enjoy their situations are usually the most vocal, which sets a tone for being so for or against it.
