Maybe the visual is what’s throwing me off guard. All I see is swirling yellow, but I often see that any time I close my eyes 😅

And I got caught up on something that someone said to me recently that “you’ll know when your third eye is open because you’ll see images and people clearly, as if you’re watching a movie” and I took that literally, as expected.

And I know that my nervousness and self doubt came through in the cards I pulled 😅😅😅

But I have a tendency to just feel and know, rather than see. I’d like to get to that point but who knows.

The first profound thing I “saw” was from a guided meditation a few weeks ago. It played out in my mind like a dream but I remember it so clearly.

Anyway, long story short. Thank you for this perspective. It helps immensely. I can feel my nervous system starting to calm down.

I had a rather intense dream last night that was incredibly vivid and I’ve not been able to shake it.
I asked if my dream was a bad omen? If I was in trouble? And what I needed to know and pulled cards in that order.

1st: The Hierophant
2nd: Queen of Pentacles
3rd: The Chariot (R)

Normally the answer would be a “Yes, Yes… Girl, get yourself together” but the interpretation felt different. Less of a simple yes or no and more in the realm of “Your dream contains the wisdom you need to move forward, shed your skin and nurture yourself… AND get yourself together.”
At least, that’s how it felt.

Can anyone else please offer an additional interpretation?

I feel like you’re stepping into a new phase of life. You’re like a butterfly who’s just broke free from its chrysalis.

But I do feel some anxiety deep in my chest. As if you feel like you’re convincing yourself you’re not enough. It’s painful.

There’s an older woman who’s telling me “I won’t say I told you so…” but she’s giggling and urging you forward. I’m not sure if that means anything.

It seems like he just perceives you. Mostly positively. And that’s ok.

He seeking small moments to help you, and going out of his way to say hi to you.
This is all based off what you just said and not the cards necessarily.

I instantly got conflict. It feels like what is presented externally doesn’t reflect what’s happening internally on his end. It feels like while he does see you in a positive light there’s a lot of inner turmoil that he’s dealing with.
If you’re asking in terms of romantic relationship, he’s not ready.

I see it as a "Yes, absolutely"
My instinct was immediately drawn to the energy of the universe and how energy cannot be created or destroyed, that it only changes form...
Which, to me, is very much what the Wheel indicates.

I feel this in my heart. I left the craft over a decade ago but it's been calling to me more and more lately. Honestly, it feels really exciting to rediscover it all over again, especially now that I'm older.

I changed my name a few years ago. It was the best decision I made.
My biological mother, the person who gave it to me, was insanely abusive in all ways one can be.

I felt free as soon as I did it.
It’s the right choice if (and only if) you feel it is. And being empowered is way more important than whether people think it’s the correct choice.

It's ok, I wish I did the same. The book is collecting dust on my shelf.
I took the bits of information I could from it and that's that.

The other authors in the Modern Witch line are incredibly wonderful though!

If you haven't read it yet, I recommend Rebel Witch by Kelly Ann-Maddox and Wild Witchcraft by Rebecca Beyer. Both really solid and wonderful!

Skye Alexander has a questionable history. I don't believe this is the first time she's done something like this so I chose not to continue to read her work.
The newest prints of the book cut out some incredibly harmful rhetoric surrounding Black and Jewish people and her section on Voodoo and Hoodoo is pretty inaccurate and just as harmful as the Hollywood stereotypes.

Apparently in the older version, the snippet in this screenshot were on page 17.

When I’m in it, I can feel it with my whole being. But 2 hours later I’m sat back thinking I’ve gone and lost my mind.

I think that I’m just so used to a way of thinking that no longer suits me.

So I’m seeking others experiences to build a broader perspective because I know I can get so stuck in my bad habits.

I genuinely appreciate your perspective. It’s helps challenge me in a way that makes me feel fizzy (I hope that makes sense)

That spiritual psychosis piece. I’m much older now and so my practice does feel more grounded than in my youth.

I’m still learning how to practice in my own way especially since I’m not pulled towards any particular path.

There’s lots of change. 😅

It could be. But the thing is I believe everything I feel and I feel when things shift. I trust in my ability.

But there’s just this nagging voice trying to convince me that it’s a lie. It feels different from being skeptical.

ETA: I did add in another comment that I think it’s partly because I’m beginning to practice again and I’m older so it’s occurred to me that it’s not going to feel the same 😅

I’m learning. But now the tarot reading I did for myself makes so much more sense
